Wednesday 7th February until Saturday 22nd December 2018 – Fused Glass Workshop at Holt

Come to Holt this year to participate in a fantastic workshop where you can learn to design your masterpiece, cut the glass and fuse it, creating a one-off piece. Taking place in Driftwood Studio, workshops will be running at 11:00 for the rest of the day. Children's taster sessions will be priced at £20, fused class courses will be £80 and stained glass workshops will be £120.


Friday 2nd November 2018 - Big Boom Firework Display

An unmissable firework display in Norwich, this free event is always a bit hit. The beautiful sparks are launched from the castle, creating a spectacular view of the fireworks lighting up the city. Grab a hot chocolate to warm up your hands, while watching this mesmerizing display.

Friday 2nd November 2018 – Rackheath Firework Display 2018

Head to Rackheath this year for a fantastic night of fireworks. Gates open at 6:00pm. The first display begins at 7:30pm and the finale begins at 8:30pm. There will be a bar, coffee & cake, burgers, chips, ice cream, pies, pizza, donuts and crepes available on the night. Adult tickets £5, under 16s £2.

Friday 2nd November 2018 – Firework Spectacular 2018 at The Lighthouse Inn, Walcott

The Lighthouse Inn at Walcott is celebrating Bonfire Night this year with two spectacular displays. Gates open at 5:30pm, the first displays starts at 7:30pm (theme is children's films) and the second display starts at 8:30pm (theme is rock and pop). There will be live entertainment from 6:00pm-9:00pm, as well as delicious food and a licensed bar. Advance tickets: Family of 4 £20, single £10. On the night: Family of 4 £30, single £15.

Sunday 4th November 2018 – Filby Fireworks 2018

This wonderful evening is complete with music, children's funfair rides, hot food and drinks, soup and a bar. The gates open at 5:00pm and the display starts at 7:00pm. This event is perfect for families and children. Filby Playing Field, Main Road, Filby, Great Yarmouth, NR29 3HN. Adult tickets £4, children £2.

Tuesday 6th November 2018 – Winter is Coming

On 6th November, 7:30pm - 9:30pm, head to the Meeting Point, Withbuga Lane, Dereham, NR19 1ED, for a fantastic illustrated talk by Andrew Clarke. The talk will be called 'How Birds and Wildlife Cope with the Changing Seasons'. £2 a ticket.

Tuesday 6th November until Sunday 23rd December 2018 – Thursford Christmas Spectacular

Set in the magical surroundings of mechanical organs and fairground carousels, with a cast of 130 professional singers, dancers and musicians – many of whom are West End performers. The 3 hour performance delivers an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour, variety and is the largest Christmas Show in the country.

Saturday 10th November & Sunday 11th November 2018 – Festive Gift & Food Show at Norfolk Showground

The annual Festive Gift & Food Show at the Norfolk Showground is the biggest Christmas fair in Norfolk. Over 250 exhibitors will be selling their festive goodies, including jewellery, clothing, decorations, homeware, cakes, cheeses, and coffees, plus much more.

Wednesday 14th November 2018 – Holt Christmas Lights

Come enjoy this popular annual event in the beautiful town of Holt. The actual light switch on and firework display is at 6.30pm, however there will be food stalls, entertainment, parade and even a pantomime horse race around the town from 4.30pm onwards. All the festive fun and entertainment on offer will guarantee to get you in the festive mood.

Wednesday 14th November 2018 – Wildlife Film Night

NWT's Vice President John Snape shows his films on 'The Wildlife of Thwaite Common' and 'A Wind of the Hearth'. Proceeds will go towards NWT's Children and Nature Fund. The films will be shown at the Alec Bussey Scout Centre off Rowington Road, Norwich, NR1 3RR from 7:30pm - 9:30pm. Tickets £2 including refreshments.

This popular three day event provides scores of specialists who will be offering a range of unique handmade gifts that's bound to include something just right for someone you know.

Saturday 24th November until Friday 30th December 2018 – Cromer Christmas Show

Celebrating it's 14th year and going stronger than ever, The Cromer Pier Christmas Show returns for another season full of fun and sparkle. Over the last few years it has got bigger and bigger and is now considered one of the best family Christmas Shows in Norfolk, strengthening the county's festive entertainment offering.

Visit Pensthorpe Natural Park on Sunday 25th November for a fabulous Christmas market. Expect arts and crafts, food and drinks, live music and festive lights. More details to come soon.

Thursday 29th November until Thursday 6th December 2018 – Christmas Tree Festival

This will be the 18th Christmas tree festival to take place in the Fakenham Parish Church. With around 60 decorated real trees, there will be plenty for all ages to admire and it is a fantastic way to raise money for local charities. Free entry with viewings from 10am to 8pm (Sunday 12 noon to 8pm)


Friday 30th November, Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd December 2018 - Deepdale Christmas Market

2018 marks the 10th annual Deepdale Christmas Market. With over 120 stalls in three large marquees - to tempt you with gifts, food & drink, decorations, local produce, clothing and much much more. Free parking and entry. Main Road, Burnham Deepdale, PE31 8FB.

Various dates throughout December 2018 – Steam Train to Santa

Departing from Wroxham, hop on a classic steam train to visit Santa at his Grotto. As you roll up to Santa's Grotto, the station will be decorated with beautiful fairly lights to get everybody feeling festive. Let Santa know what you'd like for Christmas and receive an early personalised Christmas present from him. Trains will be running on the following dates: 1st & 2nd December, 9th December, 16th December, 20th & 21st & 22nd & 23rd & 24th December. Trains will be running at the following times: 10:00, 12:40 (selected dates only), 13:45 (selected dates only), 15:00 (selected dates only). 45 minute train journey (each way) and 1 hour 30 mins at Santa's Grotto.

Various dates throughout December 2018 – Santa River Cruise

Santa Cruises will be departing from the moorings by Wroxham Bridge. During the trip, Santa’s Pixies will serve all children a large Christmas cookie and soft drink and all the adults will receive one or two glasses of mulled wine and a mince pie. Children will be able to take part in a special Christmas quiz and a free to enter colouring or drawing competition. Santa will be waiting for the children at Wroxham Broad, where they will receive a special gift. Tickets will cost £13 per person and under 1's travel free. Optional gifts will be available from Santa for the under 1’s at just £5.00. Trips will take place Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December, Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th December, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th December, Wednesday 19th, Thursday 20th, Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd, Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th December. The trips will be at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00.

Thursday 6th December 2018 – Night Sky Photography

From 1:30pm - 3:00pm at Cley, enjoy a talk by Shaun Reynolds and explore images of galaxies, emission nebula and star clusters. He will tell you his guide to the winter night skies and share practical advice on how to produce your own photographs, including how to capture the Milky Way. Tickets £8 for NWT members, £10 for non-members (includes a light lunch).

Saturday 8th December 2018 – Christmas at NWT Cley Marshes

From 10:30am-12:30pm on Saturday 8th December, enjoy creating some wonderfully unique Christmas decorations using natural materials. £4 for members, £6 for non-members (one accompanying adult free)

Saturday 8th December 2018 until Sunday 6th January 2019 – Great Yarmouth Hippodrome Christmas Spectacular & Water Show

Celebrating 18 years of phenomenally success the Christmas Spectacular runs from Saturday 8th December 2018 to Sunday 6th January 2019 with Shows 2pm & 6pm daily (1st Jan 4.30pm show only) this show has Fun, thrills and excitement for the whole family and is guaranteed to amaze with an array of international artists including the Globe of Death with the dare devil Motor bike riders direct from Brazil and the thrilling Wheel of Death.

For your chance to meet Father and Mother Christmas - Head to Holkham Hall and hear tales of wonder and magic plus be entertained by all-singing, all-dancing cheeky elves. There will be a small present for all the good children and a glass of prosecco or a soft drink for adults.

This winter, take a visit to NWT Hickling Broad. From 11:30am - 1:00pm, draw inspiration from this living landscape and create some unique Christmas decorations from natural materials. Wednesday 26th December 2018 – Boxing Day Stroll

From 10:30am - 1:00pm on Boxing Day, enjoy a leisurely stroll around the beautiful Cley marshes. The NWT team will guide you around the reserve, taking in the sights and sounds of the winter wildlife of the north Norfolk coast. Tickets £3.50 for NWT members, £5 for non-members.
