Discover this county... the county we all love.

Norfolk has a rich and diverse history. Once home to Queen Boudica and the Iceni Tribe, who fought off Roman invaders, the county of Norfolk today has some superb manor houses, large monasteries, exceptionally preserved churches and impressive castles. In terms of topography Norfolk has somewhat of a North Europe feel about it. There are beautiful big skies, large swathes of pine trees, wonderful inland waterways and many stunning sandy beaches. We'd love you to come and join us in our much loved county!

Discover the wonderful Broads when you stay in one of our many holiday properties amongst this magical water land. The area presents the perfect opportunity to enjoy this all-weather playground but it’s also a chance to understand just how important and fragile the Broads really are. Not only are they one of Britain’s most breathtaking destinations, they also provide a unique habitat with a wealth of wildlife that can be found nowhere else.

Today visitors and locals alike can enjoy The Broads’ protected wetlands and its 125 miles of safe, enchanting waterways from one of our delightful holiday homes. The Broads enjoys the same level of protection as a National Park and is recognised globally for the distinct and precious character of its environment, while its picturesque villages preserve the popular holiday traditions of afternoon tea and souvenir hunting.

The fine city of Norwich is one of the most vibrant and attractive cities in England and there’s plenty to do and see for visitors of all ages. If you are staying in one of our Norwich holiday homes then daytime is a shopper's dream with two bustling shopping centres — Castle Mall and Chapelfield — housing all the big name brands, while a colourful market contains a variety of smaller retailers and food outlets. Between all these, a mixture of shopping streets and cobblestone lanes are home to an eclectic selection of independent stores and cafes... these are the places to see and be seen, and every taste is catered for.

Fashionable and fast-paced, Norwich is a surprisingly cosmopolitan city full of contemporary features but however you spend your time here, reminders of its ancient heritage abound. Head to the Saxon market area of Tombland to see the stunning Cathedral, or to Castle Meadow where the beautifully preserved Norman castle — now an important museum containing an outstanding collection of fine art, archaeology and natural history — dominates the skyline.

Big skies, sweeping landscapes aren’t just to be admired on postcards. In Norfolk, you could take this all in from the comfort of your very own holiday cottage. A region rich in agricultural heritage, our Norfolk countryside holiday homes are set in a landscape of small farms and quaint country markets towns, busy local stores and thriving communities where there is always time to stop for a chat, and the important news of the day is still debated over the bar at the village pub.

If there’s one thing that makes sure Norfolk is firmly on the map for self-catering holidays, it has to be its undeniably beautiful coastline. Steeped in history and home to one of the most beautiful Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the country, the North Norfolk Coast offers a compelling choice of locations and activities which together create the perfect holiday at home.

Beneath the county's iconic big skies you'll find our North Norfolk cottages near vast beaches, pretty villages, traditional towns and tidal creeks, with a range of activities offering plenty of opportunities for fresh air and entertainment. Ornithologists are spoilt for choice here with a range of coastal locations for bird sightings, while wildlife-watchers can get up close and personal to the colony of seals that live and breed just a short boat ride away. Or why not just enjoy a good book while the waves lap around your feet?
