With a clifftop promenade and gardens, an award winning Blue Flag beach hugged by beach huts, a church overlooking the sea and one of the smallest maritime museums in the UK, Mundesley is a truly delightful coastal village; when the tide is out the shallow waters and long, sandy beach make this a play haven for young and old alike. The village is picturesque with an old-world charm that features quaint and quirky cottages, some of which host a thatched roof or two. Venture further afield and you can find play barns for the younger members of the family, the Amazona Zoo at Cromer and the historical estates of Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall, now looked after by the National Trust. For steam railway buffs join the train at Sheringham and enjoy a magical coastal journey to the elegant Georgian town of Holt, with its shops, art galleries and cafe culture or visit the Bure Valley Railway at Aylsham, for a super day trip into The Broads. With so much to do in this lovely region, we don't think one visit to Mundesley is probably going to be enough!

Ivy farmhouse is a beautiful, well-equipped dreamy cottage. So comfortable and cozy. Perfect location for day trips around Norfolk. Definitely a cottage to return to.

Ms M,

After a difficult year within seconds of walking into Ivy Farmhouse it felt like home. This is a testament to the fact the owners clearly love this property and it is a home not a holiday cottage in feel. We were there as a couple to rest and retreat and this property delivered on every level. It was spotless and felt like walking into a show home with that ‘new’ feel with amazing design touches. I am sure everyone who stays here would like to transport the kitchen back home with them! Every single thing is thought of with hairdryers provided near mirrors and stools! Something which never happens in hotels these days. The television and the heating were easy to operate and there was no anxious day or so trying to find out how everything worked. The location is idyllic and we shopped daily for fresh produce and on leaving felt we were leaving a real community we had somehow become part of. Thank you so much to the owners for sharing their wonderful home and for buying it in the first place. Literally the best holiday ever for comfort, warmth and relaxation.

Mrs W,

Beautiful property and ideally located for the beach, shops, restaurants, pubs and takeaways.

Mr H,

This property is in an idyllic position within the Mundsley village, it has a post office, pharmacy, fresh fruit and veg shop on the door step and a wonderful butchers round the corner, along with a salon/barbers, spa, fish shop, Chinese and public house all just a stone throw away, The property is kitted out to a high standard and of a great size with lots of little extras taken care of, if you want a touch of luxury and some Rest and Relaxation, then this is the place to be. I have not one single negative thing to say about this place, beds were comfy, shower pressure was perfect, kitchen was well equipped and lounge spacious enough for everyone. A wonderful stay was had by us all, 3 generations celebrating a 60th birthday in a December, the weather was also perfect too.

Mrs T,

A superb, comfortable property in the heart of a lovely village. We could not fault the amenities in the property or the village and would certainly recommend it.

Mr T,

A lovely house very comfortable and well appointed with full Sky package , what a treat! An easy 5 minute walk to a great beach and excellent food at the Ship Inn Quality Fish and chips on your doorstep too. Congratulations to the owners,

Mr J,

Mrs F,

This is a lovely house, very well equipped and in a perfect location for the beach. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Mrs P,

Loved this property. The mature garden was a beautiful little sun trap. Inside the property was everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. Would stay here again.

Mr H,

Excellent accommodation. Lovely location for the park, the beach and woodland walks. Would definitely recommend the cottage.

Mrs C,

Ivy farmhouse provides everything for an exceptional family holiday. Beach within 5 minutes walk, well placed for exploring local activities. Welcome pack with local goodies a nice surprise.

Mrs H,

This is a truly delightful property in a charming location. it i extremely well equipped, superbly comfortably, beautifully decorated and yet also very well appointed for couples, couples, multi-generational families... and dogs. With masses of storage space throughout, the house also has a really convenient utility area which can be closed off to dogs, wet children and sandy beach gear! Undoubtedly the most practical and most comfortable house we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in around 25 over the years.

Mrs H,

Excellent property - finished to a very high standard, careful design in every room, beds comfortable, small garden catches the sun. Dog enjoyed the nearby beach. A pleasure to be in, would definitely recommend. First time used Norfolk Cottages, whole process was smooth, communication good. Very happy

Mr M,
