This lovingly renovated single storey brick barn was built in the 1920s and was used to rear cattle. The original beams remain and are a stunning feature in this light and bright, tastefully furnished barn. The spacious sitting room has plenty of comfortable seating and a modern wood burning stove, perfect for cosying up in front of after a blustery walk along the nearby coastal path. There’s plenty of space to whip up a culinary delight and dine with your friends or family in the open plan kitchen dining area, which benefits from the late afternoon sun. Both bedrooms boast French doors out onto the lawned front garden where you can enjoy a morning cuppa in the sunshine; what a way to start your day! East Ruston village sits between the East Coast and the Broads National Park. The village is home to the celebrated East Ruston Vicarage Gardens with its huge variety of planting and excellent tea shop. The village has beautiful surrounding countryside with quiet lanes which are ideal for walking and cycling. There are footpaths leading directly from the barn for long walks (or short!) and the Norfolk Coastal Path and 100-mile Norfolk Coast Cycleway are very close by. The capital of the Broads - Wroxham is five miles away and Stalham Staithe 3 miles; hire a day boat or walk along the banks looking out for the many species of birds. You’re in the perfect spot for visiting the local beaches too. The nearest are at Happisburgh, Waxham and Sea Palling, all of which are dog friendly. A visit to nearby Horsey to see the seals is something you should definitely make time for.
