A beautiful, thatched farmhouse dating back to the 1580’s, Manor Farmhouse has been modernised to offer roomy and characterful holiday accommodation just moments from Bacton’s large, sandy beach on the east Norfolk coast. Internally, creature comforts are well catered for with Zoffany sofas, bespoke beds, a large dining room where everyone can gather together and there is even a piano in the back hall if you fancy trying your hand at being Mozart! A joy of the house is the large walled garden – plenty of space for children to run around in - with its pergola, which is a lovely spot to enjoy in warmer weather; there is a covered barbecue area and an outdoor tennis table and snooker table to entertain; also look out for the local wildlife that likes to come and visit. The area offers easy access to numerous east coast beaches, The Broads National Park and a day out in Norwich is less than an hour away. Shop/Pub: within walking distance

Bacton has a friendly village atmosphere with its sandy beaches stretching for miles. There is a good range of local amenities including a dog friendly pub, shop, a children's playground, a local swimming pool for hire and bowling green. A traditional fish & chip shop and the Sugar and Spice Café are nearby, the latter serving up breakfast, lunch and tea. There is plenty to discover in the area - to the north find Cromer and its iconic Pier with year-round shows, golf in Mundesley and tennis in North Walsham and to the south, find the famously striped Happisburgh lighthouse and the local seal colony at Horsey Beach; visit over the winter and you will see seal pups too. Inland, The Broads National Park with 125 miles of waterways to discover is within easy reach and the hinterland in this part of Norfolk also makes great cycling country. Culture vultures will enjoy a trip to Norwich, which is also within easy reach.
A beautiful property, an absolute privilege to stop here! Despite lockdown it really made our Christmas. Highlights - the wow factor on entering the lounge with the woodburner and Xmas tree lit, setting the dining room up for Xmas lunch was just perfect. Every room had a little secret to tell - loved discovering its nooks and crannies. Our 2 boys loved the pool & table tennis too. Home extremely cosy, comfortable and well thought out. Thank you
