Bring your family and friends for a stay at this unique 300-year-old retreat with its own annexe which welcomes dogs for a holiday to remember. Located on the North Norfolk coast, there is plenty to do in the local area, with Redwell Marsh Nature Reserve less than a mile away and Hunstanton Beach 1 mile away offering endless hours of fun on the sand.
Full of character, the living room is a great place to gather with a wood-clad ceiling, an exposed brick fireplace with a wood burner and two wonderful sofas for relaxation. Next door is the open-plan kitchen/dining room retaining many of the property’s original features with a few modern updates to ensure you have everything you need to prepare meals for large numbers. The dining table itself is charming and in keeping with the property. There is also a cloakroom on the ground floor with a handy downstairs WC. On the first floor, you’ll find the spacious king-size bedroom which features a dressing table and built-in storage, as well as an en-suite bath and shower room. Two additional bedrooms can be found on this floor including a tasteful pastel twin and a neutrally styled single bedroom. Completing the floor is the bathroom, again boasting both a bath and a shower to please all your guests. The garden annexe offers privacy with a twin bedroom overlooking the countryside and a separate shower room. Outside, the wide expanse of lawn and patio is a great place to host an evening meal, whilst the wild area at the bottom of the garden is a perfect place to sit and see what kinds of creatures inhabit the location.
Holme-next-the-Sea is ideally situated for those who wish to explore the dramatic scenery of the Norfolk Coast Path or the Peddars Way which join at Holme. The journey from here takes you past the beach lined with colourful huts, through the pine woodlands and onwards along this stunning stretch where plenty of picturesque places can be found to stop off for a picnic. Old Hunstanton (1 mile) has its own golf club which is well worth a game at the day's end to see the majestic sight of the sun setting into the waters. For something less challenging, a pitch and putt golf course is also located just half a mile away.
