Part of a complex of seven converted barns on the owner’s working farm, this delightful cottage is ideal for families and friends seeking a restful rural getaway close to local amenities and the wide-open landscapes of Norfolk and the Fens. The nearby historic port of King’s Lynn is a must-visit (8.5 miles). Spend a day admiring its medieval architecture and delving into maritime history before grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many eateries. For wildlife and nature enthusiasts, the nature reserves at Watatunga Wildlife Reserve and RSPB Snettisham (within 20 miles) are a must-visit. For walks at the beach, take a picnic, and buckets and spades to peaceful Heacham South Beach (21 miles), or head to the Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton (23 miles) for sandy strolls and opportunities for water sports. Alternatively, enjoy a day at Sandringham Royal country estate (14 miles), with its acres of parkland and magnificent Georgian house.

This charming property blends the barn's original rustic, country-style feel with plenty of contemporary creature comforts for an unforgettable stay. Enter the hallway, take off your boots and outdoor gear, then head through to the open-plan kitchen/diner/lounge on your left. This welcoming space is the sociable heart of the home, featuring exposed wooden ceiling beams, elegant furnishings and quirky decor that reflects the rural location. Unwind on the comfortable seating after a day of exploring and relax with a drink while reading or chatting. A Smart TV is available for evening entertainment. Throw open the French doors to the patio with a BBQ and let the outdoors in. At mealtimes, gather around the large wooden table to enjoy laughter-filled family feasts while planning your next day of adventure. The living and dining area is cleverly partly screened off from the contemporary kitchen, which features all the appliances you need to make meal preparation a breeze during your stay. When it is time to sleep, straight on along the hallway you’ll find a light and airy twin bedroom with ample storage. Completing the ground floor on the right is a family bathroom with a bath, wet room-style shower, and WC. Upstairs, you’ll find a second stylish bathroom and the two remaining spacious bedrooms: a lovely twin bedroom, and a double bedroom with a four-poster bed.

Head outside to unwind on the wrap-around courtyard patio area with sun loungers, a bistro set, a picnic bench with parasol, and a BBQ. The patio looks out over the fields, making it the perfect spot for a morning coffee, a lazy afternoon tea, or evening dining alfresco.
