At Holkham National Nature Reserve (9 miles), walk through woodland, marshes and dunes, seeing which type of birds and wildlife you can spot. For a fun family day out, dinosaur theme park ROARR! (19 miles) delivers animatronic thrills, play zones and interactive shows.

All on one level, this holiday home has solid tile floors and underfloor heating throughout, making it a cosy haven in winter and a naturally cool space in summer. Step into the bright lounge/diner/kitchen, where exposed beams and pops of colour add character to the accommodation. The kitchen is equipped with all the equipment you need to rustle up meals, and discerning coffee lovers will appreciate the Nespresso machine. Gather around the dining table for family meals or an evening of games from the selection provided. In the lounge area, comfortable sofas are arranged around a Smart TV, with an iPod dock available for playing your music. When your day is done, three comfortable bedrooms offer restful sleep spaces. Between the two smaller rooms is a sleek bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower and WC.

Outside, an enclosed sun terrace is furnished with a table and seating for six, along with a charcoal BBQ for al fresco dining in the warmer months. The area is fenced, giving an added level of privacy, and backs onto a shared gated paddock with play equipment, making it easy to keep an eye on children. Private parking is available outside the property, and you’ll also have use of a variety of on-site facilities, including a heated indoor pool, tennis courts and a games room.
