Pull up in the on-site car park and load your bags onto the wheelbarrow provided to wheel them across the wildflower meadow to your characterful horsebox. Climb the external steps cross the former loading ramp – it’s now a deck with bistro-style furniture for al fresco meals - and push open the French doors into your rustic retreat. Wood-clad walls and earthy tones create an immediately warm atmosphere, while a wood burner anchors the centre of the space, and the French doors can be opened on warmer days. Cook up an easy meal and head out onto the deck to dine. Alternatively, make a beeline for the fire pit and whip up some dinner on the griddle. When it’s time for bed, retire to the super-king-size bed (accessed by a small wooden ladder), which is tucked into one side of your glamping pod. The bench seating also converts into a pull-out sofa bed for one person, in case you have an additional guest. A private external shower room and a separate external compost WC complete the layout.
