This delightful three-bedroom cottage in Mundesley sits just half a mile from the village’s sandy beach, backed by traditional wooden beach huts on the Norfolk coast. With spectacular sea views and an enclosed garden, it’s a pretty coastal bolthole for groups of six to unwind after paddling along the shore or hopping aboard the North Norfolk Railway for a steam train adventure.

As you enter the property, you’ll notice that the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner feels light and airy, with natural light pouring in through the French doors overlooking the sea. Calming colours match the location, while the cushioned seats and feature fireplace keep things cosy. Rustle up something simple in the sleek kitchen, then gather around the dining table where sea views come served with every meal. For quieter moments, the sunroom is the place to curl up with a book, a cup of tea and the changing coastal landscape. The enclosed grass below is perfect for letting the kids burn off some energy with games, while grown-ups can sit back and relax. And, if you can tear yourself away from the views, there are three bedrooms to pick from at the end of each seaside-filled day.

During your stay in Mundesley, you’ll be just a half-mile stroll from the sandy beach, making beach days with buckets and spades simple and popping home for lunch just as easy. Alternatively, make the 7-mile drive over to Cromer’s seaside resort to wander its Victorian pier, go crabbing, or try surfing or paddleboarding. There’s also scenic walks here and plenty of eateries to refuel. Take a day trip to the National Trust’s Jacobean mansion house, Blickling Hall (12 miles), or hop aboard the North Norfolk Railway in Sheringham (11.5 miles) to visit Holt, with its galleries and boutiques.
