With Norfolk’s coast, countryside and waterways all close by, this cosy lodge makes a great base for a family escape, complete with a fire pit and picnic bench for al fresco dining moments.
This stylish studio-style lodge packs plenty into its compact layout, combining the lounge, kitchenette, dining area and bedroom in one welcoming setting. Settle onto the sofa to watch the Smart TV, or make a cup of tea while planning the day ahead. The kitchenette has an electric hob, fridge and combi microwave for preparing straightforward meals, with two bar stools at the breakfast bar creating a cosy spot for dining. At bedtime, the king-size bed is ready for a restful night, while bunk beds tucked at the rear give younger guests their own sleeping area. A wet room with shower and WC completes the accommodation. Outside, private decking creates an inviting spot for family meals, with a picnic bench, BBQ and seating where you can take in the surrounding views. There’s room to sit with a book, fire up the BBQ or gather together after a day exploring the coast and Broads. Private parking for two cars is also available.
Great Yarmouth is 6 miles away, with sandy beaches, arcades and many of places to stop for an ice cream, while Caister-on-Sea and Gorleston-on-Sea, 5 and 8 miles respectively, have quieter stretches of shoreline. The Norfolk Broads begin 2 miles from the lodge, where boat trips, peaceful rivers and wildlife encounters await, including kingfishers and otters. Head to Horsey Beach (15 miles) to look for seals, particularly during the winter months, or visit Berney Arms Nature Reserve (4 miles) for walks and birdwatching.
