Whip up something using Norfolk produce in the classically styled kitchen, and then, post-dinner, spend hours sipping glasses of wine and watching the cattle graze in the meadow-backed garden. Freshen up with a bubbly bath before slipping into a slumber in one of four charming bedrooms, one of which boasts an en-suite. In the morning, sip your coffee out on the patio before competing for the champion in the games room.

This spot makes it easy to enjoy Norfolk from every angle, with city, countryside and coast all within effortless reach. Drive 6 miles into Norwich for a nosey around its magnificent cathedral and bustling outdoor market, then slow the pace right down in the Broads, where days can be spent walking, cycling or drifting along by boat, with riverside pubs dotted along the way. Beach days are simple too, with Horsey Gap within 17 miles for fresh sea air, salty chips and the chance to spot grey seals.
