Experience a memorable stay on the edge of Blakeney National Nature Reserve in this three-bedroom flint cottage. Sleeping up to six guests, it is a wonderful base for nature lovers, with a wealth of scenic walking trails within easy reach. When you’re not out wildlife watching and exploring the great outdoors, you can be curled up inside in the warmth of the glowing wood burner, or dining in the sunshine in the pretty courtyard garden.
When it comes to relaxation, the lounge is the place to be, with comfortable seating arranged beside a wood burner, wall-mounted SMART TV which doubles as a mirror and a piano. Refuel in the kitchen/dining area, equipped with everything you could need to self-cater during your stay. From here, you can wander into the sunroom, with seating and French doors opening onto the enclosed garden. When night falls, there is a twin bedroom on the ground floor which can be made into a double, as well as a twin which can be made as a king and a king-size sleigh bedroom on the first floor. Both bedrooms on the first floor feature an en-suite WC, plus there is a family bathroom. On warm days, sit out in the rear courtyard garden with comfortable rattan furniture, for a morning coffee or a glass of wine at the end of a wonderful day.
Within 0.5 miles, you’ll find the salt marshes of the nature reserve, and by following the Norfolk Coast Path, you can spot many unique species of birds. Travellers who want to admire more wildlife should take a boat trip from Morston Quay, situated 2 miles away, to see Blakeney’s iconic seal colony. When you’re back on dry land, you can make the most of the many shops and eateries that the village has to offer.
