Experience a memorable stay on the edge of Blakeney National Nature Reserve in this three-bedroom flint cottage. Sleeping up to six guests, it is a wonderful base for nature lovers, with a wealth of scenic walking trails within easy reach. When you’re not out wildlife watching and exploring the great outdoors, you can be curled up inside in the warmth of the glowing wood burner, or dining in the sunshine in the pretty courtyard garden.

When it comes to relaxation, the lounge is the place to be, with comfortable seating arranged beside a wood burner, wall-mounted SMART TV which doubles as a mirror and a piano. Refuel in the kitchen/dining area, equipped with everything you could need to self-cater during your stay. From here, you can wander into the sunroom, with seating and French doors opening onto the enclosed garden. When night falls, there is a twin bedroom on the ground floor which can be made into a king, and a king-size sleigh bedroom and a further twin that can also be requested into a kingsize on the first floor. Both bedrooms on the first floor feature an en-suite WC, plus there is a family bathroom. On warm days, sit out in the rear courtyard garden with comfortable rattan furniture, for a morning coffee or a glass of wine at the end of a wonderful day.

Within 0.5 miles, you’ll find the salt marshes of the nature reserve, and by following the Norfolk Coast Path, you can spot many unique species of birds. Travellers who want to admire more wildlife should take a boat trip from Morston Quay, situated 2 miles away, to see Blakeney’s iconic seal colony. The Old Bakery is a lovely house to stay in. It is well located and we had no noise from the Harbour Rooms opposite. Well equipped and plenty of hot water. One Parking space to rear and also a permit for 1 car at the Harbour Rooms.

The Old Bakery was a lovely cottage in the heart of Blakeney. The owner was great with communication, and the cottage was extremely well equipped (even having things we have often missed in other holiday cottages e.g. an extension power cord with multiple plugs, recognising that people have a lot of electrics nowadays, or a single-person cafetiere)Read more. We fitted in well (4 adults and one 9-month baby), and there was lots of space for the baby to run around in inside. Hide
