This luxurious bolthole sits in the pretty village of Docking, just 4 miles from the Norfolk coast. The property sleeps six guests and is ideal for families and groups of friends, with an open-plan, sociable living area and fully enclosed garden. The thriving village of Burnham Market is 6 miles away, and you’ll be within 10 miles of some of Norfolk’s finest beaches, including Brancaster and Old Hunstanton.

The elegant family home has been impeccably decorated and furnished and has a reverse-level layout, providing gorgeous countryside views from the first-floor living area and Juliet balcony. On the ground floor you’ll find two of the bedrooms – a king-size with an en-suite shower room and a spacious twin – along with a family bathroom. Upstairs, a stunning lounge/kitchen/diner awaits, with a stylish kitchen, breakfast bar, sofas, dining table for four, and ample space for entertaining. Just off the living area is a utility room. Overlooking the lounge is a mezzanine bedroom with a double sofa bed, which provides an additional sleeping area or quiet space to curl up with a book. Outside, the wrap-around garden is fully enclosed, with a lawn where children can play and furniture for relaxing with a glass of wine in the sunshine.

This corner of Norfolk is spoilt when it comes to beaches. Brancaster is just 4 miles away, and boasts miles of unspoilt, golden sand, meaning it’s easy to find your own little sanctuary, even in the height of summer. Old Hunstanton Beach is 8 miles away and is one of Norfolk’s only west-facing beaches, making it the ideal place for a sunset stroll. To pick up local produce for your supper, head to the traditional village of Burnham Market; it has over 30 independent and specialist shops, as well as a great range of local eateries.

This was a lovely house - warm, clean, well equipped, with lovely bathrooms. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! Location was good too - we were a short drive from lots of great days out. Only one minor issue: There were four of us, and only three seats at the breakfast bar and a two-seater table. There were two extra chairs, but noRead moret much room for them, so when we ate together it was cramped. Hide

Lovely property, like the upside down presentation which makes the most of views and sunsets. Definitely need a car for going out, not much close by but we were aware of this when we booked. The local pub was a god send for a good evening meal and the local Spar was well stocked and very friendly. Cakes from the Tues Market at local village hall weRead morere to die for. It was a very relaxing stay. Hide

Beautiful upside down house with views over the fields. The convenience of not having to carry cases up to bedrooms is great too. Parking is easy and near to the house. Lovely decor and facilities. Great location for exploring North Norfolk and coast.

Really lovely property. Great views, all mod-cons and very clean. Our children suffer from asthma, and we usually have to bring their bedding with us due to dust/pet hair triggers, but we left their bedding at home this time and they had no issues here, so cleaning was to a high standard. We stayed for two weeks and Docking was a great base to visiRead moret the north Norfolk area. Hide
