A delightful bungalow on the edge of a large village (Mattishall) surrounded mostly by fields. The outdoor space was greatly appreciated, looking out onto fields and hedgerows with deer, pheasant and on one evening, a Barn Owl hunting, was how we rounded-off each day. The location makes for a relaxing break, away from busyness good privacy at the rRead moreear of the property and wildlife nearby. The village is not far away and easily walkable, our groceries were best acquired from farm centres and supermarkets which requires a drive but very manageable. The attractions of Norfolk are reachable by car in under an hour, e.g. Horsey is 55minutes away. I appreciate the value for money the bungalow gave us in terms of space (indoors and outdoors), quietness, connection to the natural world. Jason very graciously cleared up an internet issue we had on arrival so very positive responsive and understanding. We had a great week. Hide

We had a lovely week at Swallows Dean, the cottage was well equipped (especially the kitchen) nice comfortable beds and the outlook was beautiful. It was lovely seeing the horses each morning. A good base to explore what Norfolk has to offer. Would definitely recommend. Thanks again for a lovely stay.

Swallows Dean is in a peaceful location on the edge of the village. The property is quite spacious and well laid out and offered everything we needed for our holiday. Watching the wildlife from the patio window, including a couple of deer on the lawn, was a real bonus.

A really nice property in a quiet but not isolated location. Beautiful open views of fields with horses and wildlife. The property is comfortable, but heaters are difficult to control, to a comfortable level. Beds are comfortable and overall the property is good, just needs a couple of small tweaks which I'm sure the owners can can easily do.

Very sweet little place, although a bit dated. Comfortable, clean and pretty well equipped. No frills but then that was reflected in it not being over pricey. Very quiet location with a great view of a barn owl box (with resident) muntjac deer and ducks in the garden. Truly lovely.

Swallow Dean was a very comfortable warm little bungalow with great views over farmland. Situated in the heart of Norfolk it gave us great access to all the coastline and Norwich on the doorstep.
