The invigorating ocean is just metres away from this Norfolk property, inviting you to be fully refreshed by the sights and sounds of the sea throughout your stay here. Well-positioned for getting to know the county, the accommodation is within reach of the Norfolk Coast National Landscape (3.5 miles) and the Norfolk Broads National Park (8 miles). It’s just 300 metres from the mighty coastal path, putting beaches and incredible cliff-top sights within effortless reach for daily hikes. Hosting four guests and two pets, this place is simply a superb choice for smaller family groups or two couples holidaying together.

Filled with eclectic charm and nautical decor, this single-storey place is always teeming with character. Make your way into the cosy lounge/diner where a flame-effect electric fire keeps things cosy late into winter’s nights. The Smart TV is on hand if you need some entertainment, but you’re also welcome to just sit and natter away, enjoying one another’s company. Access the garden at the rear and find further space to sit and unwind, complete with a raised decking and a table and chairs for eating alfresco. Moving back indoors, pass through the conservatory to reach two bedrooms, both spacious doubles, and a wheelchair-accessible wet room. There is private off-road parking for two cars.

The village of Walcott is a quiet, undisturbed holiday destination with a wide, sandy beach (300 metres) and a local pub (0.5 miles). It’s just 5 miles from Mundesley, a livelier Victorian seaside village with a beach backed by colourful, traditional fishing huts. As well as being on the Norfolk Coast Path, Mundesley is also situated on the Paston Way, a 22-mile walking route that offers incredible scenery from Cromer (12 miles) to North Walsham (6.5 miles), well worth a wander on a bright, sunny day.

Excellent property, really clean. Nice quiet location. Excellent adaptations for disabled people. My wife is disabled so the wet room shower was really appreciated. Had a slight problem with the internet connection one morning, contacted the property owner who came round promptly and resolved the issue. Enclosed garden was safe for our little dog. Driftwood was an ideal bungalow for us. It was beautifully decorated throughout, and had all of what is needed for a relaxing break. The facilities were excellent, especially for those with mobility issues. Plenty of good places to eat and it was a good base for exploring the local area. The beach was a short walk away. Lovely bungalow, great if you have any mobility difficulties, great facilities. Excellent pubs, village store, fish & chip shop, along with cafe on the front. We had a wonderful week in driftwood. It was perfect for us on a quiet site, close to amenities. It was so close to the dog friendly beach. This is our third stay in this cottage, ideal location. Paul and Sue provide everything for a perfect stay, making it a home from home. Lots of little extras, tea, coffee, milk in fridge, lovely cake and even treat for the dog. Cannot recommend highly enough, already booked for next year.

Lovely location with beautiful beach just around the corner.Nice bungalow but we had issues with the shower Luke warm water and on the day before we were due to leave it stopped working in the middle of having a shower. Due to this we came home a day early.

Sue and Paul were the perfect hosts, kind and very helpful. Everything in the bungalow was provided - and all good quality and quantity. Great location for a base to visit other holiday locations or a quiet stay by the beach. The cottage has everything you need with well equipped kitchen, good sized bedrooms and lounge, with conservatory to rear. Garden is an ideal sun trap for eating outside in the early evening.

Lovely, homely cottage, cosy clean and warm, the addition of the conservatory was great, used to sit there when back from visiting other places, nice to relax in. Partial sea view too, although hedge could have done with a bit of a trim to making viewing clearer. Really enjoyed our week of relaxing at Driftwood. The bungalow has a lovely conservatory to sit and read and listen to the sound of the sea. It was nice and clean with a well equipped kitchen for cooking meals. This is our second year at this property and the dog really felt at home as did we. Our morning walks on the beach a treat for her. The day we left she hid. Very comfortable place with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The pub is only a short walk over the field.
