For a quintessentially Norfolk experience in a traditional brick-and-flint cottage, stay at this two-bed holiday home in Mundesley. It’s slightly set back from the road in a sunny spot and just 500 metres from the village centre, where you’ll find shops, cafes and pubs. Spend lazy mornings absorbing the charming atmosphere of this pretty Victorian seaside village, whether that’s lazing on the sandy beach (0.5 miles), tucking into fish and chips or enjoying a round of golf at the local club (1 mile).

Recently renovated, this end-of-terrace home features a pretty pastel interior and a cosy and inviting atmosphere. Inside, you’ll have a welcoming lounge with original beams and pammet flooring. Comfortable seating and a Smart TV set you up for cosy evenings in. The charming dining area has a painted wood-topped dining table for a country-kitchen effect, and the fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for meal prep. Stairs from the main living area lead up to the first floor, where three beautifully presented bedrooms await: a double with an original fireplace and a bunk room with a queen-size lower layer (please note there is limited headroom in the top bunk). In good weather, make the most of the dual-level garden, featuring garden furniture, a BBQ and a raised gravelled area.

There’s so much to discover nearby – the ancient Peddars Way, a 46-mile-long scenic route, runs 0.5 miles from your front door, setting you in excellent stead for scenic walks. Why not walk along the coast path to the picturesque village of Happisburgh 6.5 miles away? Or take a short drive up the coast to Cromer (7.5 miles), famous for its pier and beach. Nature lovers will appreciate a trip to the nearby Felbrigg Estate (9.5 miles), with its delightful manor and gardens.

We had a lovely time at Wild Rose cottage, the accommodation was perfect, well maintained and a great location. The village is a 10 minute stroll, the beach a further 5 to 10 mins, at a slow to steady pace. Parking at the beach is available if you prefer to drive. Well located for visiting the surrounding area.
