Close to the coast in Heacham, this detached, dog-friendly retreat is a great choice for those craving sea air and slower days. Half a mile from Heacham North Beach, it’s easy to start the morning with a stroll along the sand before heading out to explore the wider coastline.

Inside, the house feels warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The lounge is a comfortable spot to settle in after a day out, with plenty of seating, a charming brick fireplace and a Smart TV for film nights or catching up on your latest series. There’s also a handy desk area for planning the next day’s adventures. The bright, open-plan kitchen and dining area is a sociable hub of the home. Well equipped for cooking up anything from quick breakfasts to leisurely dinners, it also includes a dining table and an additional Smart TV for laid-back evenings. Doors open straight out to the garden, making it easy to drift in and out on sunny days. When night falls, choose from two beautifully styled bedrooms – a super-king-size and a king-size – both decorated in calming tones with ample storage. A sleek, contemporary shower room completes the interior. Outside, the patio is set up for outdoor dining, while the generous lawn gives both children and dogs room to roam. With the beach just a short walk away, morning outings with four-legged companions couldn’t be easier. Private parking for two cars is also available.

Heacham itself is a lively village with two expansive beaches, sitting between King's Lynn (14 miles) and Hunstanton (2.5 miles), the latter known for its striped cliffs and glowing sunsets. Nearby, the fragrant fields of Norfolk Lavender Farm (1 mile) are well worth a visit. Nature lovers can head to the reserves at RSPB Snettisham and RSPB Titchwell Marsh, while food enthusiasts might make a beeline for Brancaster (9 miles) for fresh seafood. For independent shops and cafes, Burnham Market (15 miles) is always a favourite.

The location was perfect for us, 10 min walk to the shops and Hunstanton/King Lynn bus stop and 10 min walk to North beach. The large enclosed garden faces North so there is sun all day and the dogs loved rummaging around. The beds were comfortable and there was very little traffic noise being on the road to North Beach. There is a torch on permaneRead morent charge which was handy when we had a power cut one night, something that should be in other holiday lets. Certainly one of the best holiday homes we have rented. Hide

Great location and just a small walk to the beach. Incredibly dog friendly, even non-slip mats for the older dogs. Would recommend.
