Blending traditional character with contemporary style, this brick-and-flint cottage makes a wonderful base for discovering North Norfolk. Set in the village of Northrepps, it sleeps six guests across three bedrooms and sits 2 miles from the beach at Overstrand and 3 miles from the ever-popular Cromer.
Inside, the house combines the look of a classic Norfolk cottage with a fresh, modern finish. The welcoming hallway leads through to a bright kitchen/diner, where there’s plenty of room to prepare meals using local ingredients before gathering around the table together. On warmer days, open the door to the garden and let the outside in. The sitting room is another inviting hub, with deep sofas, a Smart TV and a soundbar for film nights. Upstairs, three beautifully presented bedrooms await: two king-size rooms, each with its own Smart TV, and a cheerful twin that’s great for younger guests. The family bathroom includes both a bath and a shower, while a separate WC can be found downstairs. Outside, the enclosed garden is a lovely spot to make the most of sunny days, whether that’s playing games on the lawn or sipping something chilled from the drinks fridge. Private off-road parking for two cars completes the setup.
From Overstrand, you can pick up the Norfolk Coast Path for scenic walks along the shoreline, while Cromer is a timeless seaside favourite – think fish and chips on the pier, theatre shows and its famous local crab. Venture a little further to Sheringham (8 miles) for more coastal charm, independent shops and a nostalgic steam railway to the Georgian town of Holt. Nature lovers will appreciate the colourful landscapes of Sheringham Park (7.5 miles), while the grand Blickling Hall (10 miles) is well worth a day trip.
