Tucked within a wildflower meadow on the historic Raynham Estate, this beautifully styled yurt invites you to switch off and savour a slower pace of life. One of just eight set across five acres, it sleeps four across three beds – well suited to small families or friends keen to enjoy a touch of countryside glamping.
Inside, the yurt feels both cosy and thoughtfully designed, with an open-plan layout centred around a skylight that draws in natural light. Patterned wall details add character, while a wood burner keeps things warm on cooler evenings. A sumptuous super-king bed and two singles are neatly arranged along the curved edges, creating a snug yet airy feel. Outside, your own picnic bench sets the scene for laid-back meals in the fresh air. Fire up the charcoal BBQ for supper, or wander over to the nearby shared kitchen and dining area. As night falls, gather around the fire pit, toast marshmallows and watch the stars emerge above the meadow. A shared shower block – with your own private shower and WC – rounds off the glamping experience. On-site parking for two cars is provided.
Beyond the meadow, there’s plenty to discover – roam the wetlands and gardens of Pensthorpe Natural Park (6 miles), where flamingos, cranes and kingfishers often make an appearance, or head to Fakenham Racecourse (4 miles) for a lively day out. History lovers can explore Houghton Hall (8 miles), a striking 18th-century mansion built for Robert Walpole, complete with grand interiors and sweeping parkland where deer roam.
