The shaker-style kitchen offers all the facilities you’ll need to prepare delicious meals, and there’s space for two to snack at the breakfast bar, or you can eat more formally in the dining room overlooking the garden. Afterwards, relax with a movie in the elegant lounge, gathered on the seating around the wood burner. Also on the ground floor, opposite a shower room with WC, is a king-size bedroom. On the first floor you’ll find four bedrooms, two of which are king-size: one with a TV, en-suite shower room and rural views, and another with a TV. The final two bedrooms are a double and a twin (king-size on request), as well as a family bathroom. The enclosed garden is perfect for children or dogs, and the hot tub on the patio is ideal for easing tired muscles or perhaps some stargazing after everyone has enjoyed a meal at the ten-seater outdoor dining table.
For great ales and food, the local pub is just 0.5 miles away, and two more good pubs are within a couple of miles. The coast can be reached in 4 miles, with the picturesque villages of Mundesley (4 miles), and Happisburgh – pronounced ‘haze-buh-ruh’ (10 miles), both well worth a visit. The resort of Cromer, 5.5 miles, is popular for its independent shops, pubs and restaurants, beach, promenade and Victorian pier, and it’s also home to Amazona Zoo, where you can see more than 200 birds and animals from tropical South America.
