Just returned from a fantastic holiday in Holt staying at this amazing house. We were a bit apprehensive to book initially as the property didn't seem to have many reviews but we have since learnt its because it's their first season. So, I feel they need a detailed review to showcase this beautiful holiday home. If you are looking for somewhere amRead moreazing to stay for your Norfolk holiday then look no further. I am missing this house so much already. So let's start with the layout. The bedrooms are huge, all with their own en suite, sumptuous while linen & extremely comfy beds. The house is actually on 3 floors, so master suite is on the mid floor (but once you are in this feels like the ground floor as it has the kitchen and garden off this floor), 3 lovely rooms on the top floor, and a 5th bedroom on the ground floor. The ground floor bedroom has a compact small shower/toilet room but a handy place to put the snorer in the family down in that bedroom!! The lounge has super comfy furniture and double doors to the garden (as does the kitchen/dining area adjacent) They even have electric velux windows in the dining area! The kitchen is so well equipped, I've never seen so many plates and cutlery, and the garden has a gorgeous chill out settee area, huge garden table and chairs and a fantastic bbq area. It looks exactly like the image described. Theirs a garage & car port below the house which has blow up paddle boards, lifejackets, sun loungers and a parasol for the patio table. All available for guests to use and all they ask in return is that guests clean (where possible) and neatly return for the next guests to use. The location of this house is also a winner because from the back you look out to open fields, yet from the front you walk 5 minutes up the hill and you are in Holt town centre. Best of both worlds! Holt is just a dream, with a fantastic artisan market on a Sunday where they close the street, lovely boutique shops, greengrocers, pubs, cafe's, bakery etc. We even loved walking the dog out at night once the temperature cooled and just browsed all the closed shop windows and little side streets/markets. A huge Budgens is situated behind the high street which was walking distance from the house and 10 mins down the road you have the amazing Jarrold's Farm shop. I mean what is not to like here!! We needed a home from home somewhere North Norfolk based for a family reunion, to relax, unwind, eat, drink and have lovely days out chasing childhood memories of Blakeney, Wells, Cromer, Sandringham and Blackthorn Lodge was perfect for this. I promise you wont be disappointed. Hide

Beautiful house and great location. Very well equipped. We arrived around an hour early and was pleased that after a quick call we could go in. We didnt get to sit in the garden as the weather was chilly for May but that was lovely too. The town was really close with lots of pubs, shops and places to eat
