Enjoy the gentle pace of life offered by the delightful Norfolk seaside town of Sheringham when you stay at this first-floor apartment. Set within an ornate period building close to the seafront, the two-bedroom getaway sleeps four guests and comes with access to a shared gym. Amble just 200 metres down to the beach, which opens up to reveal swathes of golden sand at low tide, or 300 metres to the High Street, with its array of shops and eateries.

Climb the stairs or enjoy the luxury of the lift before making your way inside, shedding flip-flops, walking boots and coats in the hall. Wander on through to the light-filled, open-plan hub of the holiday home, its lounge/kitchen/diner. Stylishly decorated, this offers a gentle nod to its sunny Norfolk seaside setting while providing you with everything you need to socialise and relax. Take the groceries you have bought in town over to the kitchen area by the window, then prepare the next meal. Gather on the sofa or at the dining table for a pre-dinner drink or to watch the Smart TV. Your stylish bathroom, with the choice of a shower or a bath, adjoins the main living space. Your inviting double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite WC, are accessed via the hallway. Although this retreat features no private outside space, it is just 300 metres from a park. Parking for apartment guests is on the street.

Keen walkers can amble 200 metres to the Norfolk Coast Path, then stride out in either direction. Head less than 1 mile along the footpath to Beeston Hill, with its far-reaching coastal views. Plan an afternoon out at the National Trust’s impressive Jacobean mansion Blickling Hall, 12.5 miles away, which sits in acres of rolling parkland.

When the accommodation is advertised as 4 adults with a potential for 6, you need to make sure that the kitchen implements reflect that, one teaspoon, 3 drinking glasses, 2 cereal bowls as an example. The bed in the en suit bedroom was really soft and had a dip in the middle, which made it almost impossible to sleep in. There was no welcome book,Read more so there were literally no instructions about the property, which we very poor, weve never experienced such a lack of interest in the customer experience before! Again, the seating was really poor and uncomfortable and there was barely enough room for 2 people to sit, never mind 4-6. There was a over mirror light in the en suite, but it didnt work as the cord had snapped and one of the bulb covers was just placed over the bulb, so was very precarious, and there was no mirror anyway. The window in the main bathroom was left wide open, so the whole apartment was icey cold when we arrived, but it took a while to realise what the problem was as the blind was closed. There are no instructions about how to adjust the temperature of the radiators on the bathrooms, and the valves to make the adjustment became extremely hot, which made it almost impossible to adjust once the hot water is running through the system.
