Wonderfully off the beaten track, the hut is part of a boutique site that’s a mile off the nearest road. Enter through the garden and veranda, stepping up and into the cosy interior, created with year-round comfort in mind. The king-size bed (with storage beneath) is layered with an electric blanket and soft throws, while a loveseat and TV with DVD player create an inviting corner for slow evenings. The compact kitchen area offers a gas hob, fridge and microwave for light bites, and the space is warmed by a wood burner in the corner. The en-suite bathroom includes a hot shower and flushing WC. For those who love a long soak, there’s a free-standing, double-ended bath on the veranda, warmed by a heat lamp and with roll-down screens for privacy. Here you’ll also find an outdoor kitchen with a combination oven and freezer, a small dining table and another love seat. The enclosed garden features a wood-fired hot tub, a fire pit with BBQ grill and comfortable seating on artificial grass. The shared parking area is close by.
Stride out on the Peddars Way or Pingo Trail, or heat to Thompson Water, just 1 mile away, for lake views and bird watching. Alternatively, stay on site and enjoy the natural swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, cold plunge, swim spa and spa, followed by a meal in the excellent bistro.
