The cottage is comfortable, well equipped, and spotlessly clean throughout. As it's an old cottage, the stairs are steep and the bathroom is downstairs, but as long as you're prepared for that, it's not a problem at all. We loved all the traditional touches, like the wooden and stone floors and the original fireplaces you can tell the owners have Read moreput a lot of thought into the decor. Everything we needed was provided, including a TV with Firestick, washing machine, comfy furniture, and a beautifully appointed bathroom. The location is excellent. You can see the boats from the front gate, and it's just a short walk down to the river and the park. We didn't use our car all week instead we enjoyed the easy walk into town and the shops, along with the river and park walks. There's also a bus stop just around the corner running into town; the only reason we didn't use it ourselves was that our dogs get travel sick, but otherwise it would have been an easy trip to Lowestoft too. As for the parking space, we had no trouble with it at all, as my husband was able to reverse in and out when needed. The owner was very helpful and friendly, as were all the local people we met during our stay. We loved every minute of it and would be happy to recommend this cottage to friends and family. Hide

We enjoyed our stay at dumpling cottage, lovely hosts and friendly neighbours, well positioned particularly for the quay and access to walks over the marshes. Only downside is with the road being a dead end manouevering off the road is challenging

Cosy little cottage in a great position within easy walking distance of the river and the town. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the wine, biscuits and other essentials. Stairs definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues but were in our seventies and coped fine. No room to turn the car round unless the neighbours arRead moree out so you have to reverse up the road. But very clean and well equipped and a good base to explore this lovely area. Hide
