This rural bolthole is set amongst the rolling countryside of North Norfolk. The lodge, which sits just outside Baconsthorpe, sleeps four guests and makes the ideal retreat for small families and couples who enjoy getting out and about in nature. The surrounding area is teeming with wildlife, and you'll find walking and cycling routes to explore directly from the property. The elegant town of Holt is just 4 miles away, and the sandy beaches of Norfolk's coast can be reached within 6 miles.
The solar-powered lodge has an open-plan layout, with a beautiful, curved ceiling and a cosy wood burner. After a busy day, unwind in one of the armchairs or sink into a bean bag to watch the Smart TV, whilst the chef of the group prepares dinner in the well-appointed kitchen area. At the far end of the lodge you'll find the sleeping area, with a double bed reached via a ladder, and a cosy twin set underneath (please note, this room has a low ceiling). A shower room rounds off the accommodation. Outside, soak up the tranquillity from the picnic bench, and as it gets dark, toast marshmallows around the fire pit. Guests are also welcome to explore the 4 acres of surrounding grounds. Private parking is available for two cars.
Journey into Holt to explore its fabulous collection of independent shops, boutiques, and restaurants. From Holt, you can hop aboard the steam trains of the North Norfolk Railway, which jaunt through the countryside to the charming seaside town of Sheringham. Here, you can spend the day on the sandy beach and even hire one of the colourful beach huts for the full holiday experience. Nearby attractions include the National Trust's Felbrigg Hall (7 miles) and Amazona Zoo (8 miles).
