Norfolk is renowned for its big skies, beautiful coast, the Norfolk Broads, the medieval cathedral city of Norwich, and many stately homes and churches. Guests are welcome to walk through the woods of Northrepps Estate or venture further afield to the Norfolk Coast Path and The Paston Way. For golfing enthusiasts, Royal Cromer Golf Club is 1 mile away. If it’s culture you’re after, the medieval city of Norwich and its magnificent cathedral, one of the largest in Europe, has many museums, independent shops, pubs and eateries. The county’s great halls, Blickling Hall (10 miles), Felbrigg Hall (4 miles), and Holkham Hall (26 miles) are open to the public. The oldest footsteps in Europe were discovered on the coast in 2013 at Happisburgh, and the West Runton Woolly Mammoth, found in 1990, is the largest complete skeleton known.
