Elice Cottage is a modern semi in a very quiet location with very convenient parking. A selection of goodies in the welcome pack was much appreciated. We didn't use the outside space but it was lovely to have the patio door open at various times of the day. Given that the cottage is aimed at 2/3 occupants, we would suggest a couple of smaller saucRead moreepans and some small oven proof dishes/ trays. The mat in the kitchen is a trip hazard. The sofa is far from comfortable and needs replacing with comfy chair(s)/ sofa with headrests. A selection of pillow options would have been really appreciated. Cleanliness was an issue ... the waste outlet in the ensuite needs a deep clean. All the sinks had stained outlets and the hoover head was clogged up with debris. We didn't expect to have to deal with these things but hope we left the property much cleaner than when we arrived! Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that there were some cleaning issues. These have now been resolved. Hide

Lovely quiet estate, great location and good parking. Nice size garden and the patio furniture was good. The house is modern and has good kitchen appliances. Unfortunately a few negatives for us. The house was not the cleanest. There were cobwebs in most rooms and around the windows. The sinks had marks around the plugs. The BBQ was filthy and haRead mored the grill had not been cleaned. There was no BBQ cleaning equipment available and no grill brush. The garden furniture also needed wiping down when we arrived. I don't think we would consider staying again unless the sofa was changed as it's quite uncomfortable and there are more things available such as fans and extra pillows. My friend and I stayed at Elice Cottage for a week from 13th July 25. We had a marvellous time and thoroughly enjoyed our fabulous stay in this gorgeous house. Firstly can I say that the description and photos on the Holiday Cottages website do not do justice to this amazing property. Everywhere and every room was spotlessly clean. The 3 bathrRead moreooms were spotless and very well equipped with ample toilet paper, hand soap and beautiful white towels. In the downstairs bathroom there was even a mirror opposite the main over the sink mirror so you could see the back of your head! Fancy that! The kitchen was very very well equipped with everything you could want in a kitchen. The owners even thought of bag ties. The wooden butter knives were brilliant and I 'm still looking for them to buy online! There's a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine - all extremely clean. The owner left dishwasher and washing tabs under the sink, along with kitchen towels and tea towels. Also there was carpet stain remover in case of accidents - a great addition as the carpet is light coloured. There is a great stock of drinking glasses - water, wine and champagne flutes. There was six of everything and enough cutlery, knives, serving spoons, etc for the family. Upstairs there are 2 bathrooms one of which is en suite to the double bedroom. Both rooms were very well furnished with comfy beds and white cotton bedding. Very quiet area. The outside area is also well stocked with garden games, bbq, large table and six chairs. 2 pull out washing lines, and a further airer behind kitchen door and bucket of pegs. The village of Mundesley is lovely with a beautiful beach, a couple of great pubs and a few cafes and independent shops. For a large supermarket it's only about 15 minutes away in Stalham. The bus services are brilliant going to Cromer, North Walsham, etc. The bus stop being just five minutes walk away. In conclusion, Elice Cottage is a real hidden gem. I would highly recommend this holiday home for anyone who wants a quiet and comfortable Norfolk base from which to explore this beautiful region of England. Hide

The property is in a nice quite area and benefits from parking adjacent to the house. The enclosed garden was also nice to have.

We enjoyed a lovely week at Elice Cottage which was very clean and very well equipped. It was our first visit to Norfolk and the location was perfect for exploring and was also near the beach. There are lovely local shops and a pub nearby. The man in the tourist information office was extremely helpful so well worth paying him a visit!
