Set on the edge of the Norfolk Coast National Landscape while also benefiting from a town-centre location, this four-person cottage is perfect for a family seeking an easy seaside getaway. The open-plan layout, a garden and homely decor make this property a relaxing base for spending quality time with your loved ones.

As you enter the cottage, you’ll find yourself in the lounge area of the open-plan lounge/diner. Nature-themed decor with a splash of blue and yellow complements the neutral-tones, along with thoughtfully placed ornaments. Two comfortable armchairs and a sofa surround the feature fireplace and TV. Behind here is a wooden dining table for four. Continue into the bright farmhouse-style galley kitchen with wooden countertops and a range-style cooker. A convenient cloakroom with WC can be found off the kitchen. Find the hidden cottage-style stairs to reach two bedrooms: a double with en-suite shower room and a twin with en-suite shower room down two steps. Outside is a quiet garden with a winding path leading past the plants to a patio area with furniture.

While staying in Holt, explore your surroundings to discover the charming market town’s cosy pubs, cafes and boutique shops (all within 0.5 miles). On the outskirts of the town is the 100-acre Holt Country Park (1.5 miles), where you can stroll around the Green Flag-awarded woodlands. Take your binoculars into the Norfolk Coast National Landscape (0.5 miles) for some bird watching at Salthouse Marshes nature reserve (4.5 miles). Head to Blakeney Point (6.5 miles) for an unforgettable seal-watching experience or for a stroll around the nature reserve. From here you can follow the coastal trail to Cley-next-the-Sea (5 miles). Spend a day on the sand and shingle Salthouse Beach (4 miles) or Weybourne Beach (4 miles).

Lovely cottage in convenient location within 10-minutes' walk of the high street. Has a full range of home facilities, including a much-needed washing machine and drying rack. Good communications ahead of our visit and we knew exactly where to go, that we could park right outside and how to enter the property. I Look forward to staying at Plum TreRead moree Cottage again. A comfortable cottage about a 10 minute walk from the town centre. We loved Holt. Lots of independent shops and cafes. Good centre for exploring North Norfolk. The staircase leading up to the bedrooms was narrow and steep.

Lovely cottage. Very steep staircase, but our 7 year olds were fine with it. Perfect location for walking just a few minutes into the town. Lovely clean and fresh cottage with everything you would need for a week away. Comfy beds and decent shower. Nice garden area with sun trap at the bottom. Would stay again.
