This chocolate-box cottage enjoys a prime position in the coastal village of Blakeney, on Norfolk’s north coast. Sleeping six guests, the property makes a great base for families and groups of friends looking to embrace nature and explore this beautiful stretch of coastline. Take leisurely strolls around the quay, follow the river to the sea, or stride out along the Norfolk Coast Path. Nearby attractions include Holt Country Park, Felbrigg Hall, and the seaside resort of Cromer (all within 15 miles).

The Grade II-listed property is a traditional Norfolk cottage and still retains many of its period features. The welcoming lounge is full of character with a beamed ceiling and homely decor and furnishings to complement the property’s original style. Unwind here on the comfortable seating to watch TV, or curl up in the window seat with your favourite book. The country-style kitchen/diner has everything you need to whip up delicious feasts for the group and a wooden dining table to seat everyone. Upstairs, three attractive bedrooms await; one of the doubles has an en-suite WC. The single bedroom has a pull-out bed to accommodate a sixth guest if required. A contemporary family bathroom completes the accommodation. Due to the period of the property, you’ll find several internal steps and low doorways throughout the holiday home. Outside, the south-facing courtyard garden provides a fabulous area for outdoor entertaining during summer months.

Blakeney is a picturesque coastal village with a good range of pubs, gift shops, and galleries to explore. Enjoy a stroll through the village’s narrow streets, admiring the traditional cottages and historic buildings, or head down to the quay to watch the boats coming and going. From here, you can board one of the wildlife excursions to Blakeney Point – home to a colony of grey seals, along with other rare wildlife. As you’d expect, the area is a haven for walkers, with nearby routes taking you along both the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path. For a day at the beach, the beautiful, sandy shores of Wells-next-the-Sea are just 8 miles away.

Our family enjoyed the comfortable cottage in its great high street location. It was well set up in every way and apart from the price, I loved it. Thank you to the owners, cleaners and agents for a lovely experience.
