Quaint, comfortable cottage in a very picturesque hamlet in a great location. A short walk to the sea and lots of lovely walks, gardens and pretty seaside villages within a very short driving distance.

We had a lovely time in Kelling and were particularly fortunate with the weather for mid-March. However, this property would benefit from a full refurbishment. The kitchen is looking particularly tired, curtains hanging off the end of rails and crockery old and in need of replacement. The TV was temperamental, far too many extension leads servinRead moreg lamps etc and the shower was a little hit and miss. Such a shame, we would return as its a lovely spot. Hide

This cottage is in a good location that is very peaceful and ideal for seeing the north Norfolk coastline. However, no investment has been made by the owner in keeping its condition updated and modern. For less money, cottages can be found that are far better managed, equipped and cared for. On arrival, the front gate was broken and we had to fix iRead moret as best we could. A new fence and gate is needed. Generally, this property is run down and not as nice as the other 7 cottages on this site. Hide

The cottage is beautifully situated, Kelling is a lovely village and very accessible to the gorgeous coast. Walking to Weybourne in one direction and Salthose and Cley in the other is a delight. The number of Birds and butterflies was stunning. We were very fortunate with the weather and it would be very easy to spend the whole week in the immediatRead moree area but Holt is also close and provides everything you could want. Very pretty outside in a lovely quiet location with a nice private garden. Two windows in the property only had 1 curtain (and not a pair), not enough egg cups, and most worryingly was the placement of the wires for the TV/Freeview box etc which were potentially dangerous as hanging down the wall from the TV and scattered loosely over the living roRead moreom floor, and plugged into an extension socket which was stood up in it's edge. Overall the presentation (although very clean) needed a lot of tlc Hide

You get what you pay for. It was quite quiet but not many people there. Number 4 has other buildings on two sides. Views are pretty limited as planted into the ground, also of an arable field planted with plastic fences to stop erosion. The shower was like a dribble but the hot water for a bath was excellent. Kitchen equipment is limited especiallyRead more for baking. No heaters in bedrooms. Mind the short path down to the front door as quite dangerous when wet. But overall a pleasant place to stay. We've stayed at this cottage a few times previously, the fact that we keep going back says everything. One great improvement this time was the addition of WIFi. Thank you. The welcome pack is always gratefully received and a very welcome touch.

As per other reviews the cottage is in need of decorating. Fridge works but is damaged and needs attention or replacing. Shower alternates boiling hot and freezing cold so also needs attention, but there is a bath to use as an alternative. Lovely village, excellent location, garden and grounds both lovely and well kept. Thank goodness for WiFi as nRead moreo phone signal within the property. All basic needs met and good value for money. Would stay there again if the cottage was updated. Hide
