This stylish holiday retreat is in Norfolk’s idyllic coastal village of Blakeney. The characterful cottage sleeps six guests and has a choice of social spaces for spending quality time with family and friends. The area is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, with nearby walks along the Norfolk Coast Path and through Blakeney Point Nature Reserve. Local attractions include the North Norfolk Railway and Holt Country Park (both 6 miles).

The inviting family home has been tastefully decorated, with a bright and breezy, coastal colour scheme and a collection of quirky artwork and accessories. Enter the property into the inviting lounge, where plump sofas and armchairs are nestled around a Smart TV and wood burner. In summer, throw open the patio doors to further extend the social space. The stylish kitchen/diner is the perfect spot for hosting dinner parties and special occasions and, like the lounge, offers direct access to the garden. Completing the ground floor is a peaceful snug. Upstairs, three beautiful bedrooms await, one of which has an en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom on this floor. Outside, the enclosed patio garden has a choice of furniture for relaxing in the sunshine or dining alfresco. There is also a sunny seating area to the front of the cottage.

Blakeney is a pretty village with narrow streets and cute cottages set around a bustling quayside. The village has a good range of local eateries, along with independent shops and galleries. From the quay, you can hop on a boat to visit the nature reserve at Blakeney Point, which is home to England’s largest colony of grey seals. From the cottage, it’s easy to enjoy day trips to the Georgian market town of Holt (5 miles) and the popular seaside resorts at Sheringham (9 miles) and Cromer (14 miles).

Excellent location, even though it fronts main road through Blakeney. Some traffic noise. Comfy beds and great showers. A dark house inside. No real views other than from master bedroom which is huge but has no wardrobes! Kitchen well equipped other than oven gloves. Take your own! Letting company said it is not company policy to provide any.

A fantastic location, wonderful dog walks. Secure, dog friendly garden. Pub nearby is excellent and also dog friendly too. Home is clean with nice furnishings. You'll need to get logs and kindling for the wood burner as these aren't provided, the local SPA within walking distance has both and is open until 8pm.

Really lovely spacious cottage, with just a few minor glitches while we there (heating and bins). In a really good location for visiting many of the local National Trust properties and North Norfolk towns and villages. Exhilarating walk on the coastal path from Blakeney to Cley (it was really very cold during our stay), but well worth it.
