Two flexible bedrooms and a true home-from-home feel make this bungalow in the village of Briston, a fabulous base for a break with friends or family. Located in a lovely North Norfolk village within easy reach of the coast, this cottage welcomes pets and has a cosy, crackling wood burner.

Step inside the single-level, characterful cottage. Off the hallway, you’ll find the inviting lounge with a striking fireplace and a choice of comfortable sofas. This room sets the scene for laid-back evenings with a box set – the TV comes with an Amazon Firestick so you can select your favourites. At the end of the hallway, the dining room has a feature fireplace and doors onto the courtyard, while the adjacent kitchen has a range-style cooker to inspire your culinary efforts. When it’s time to retire, the two pretty bedrooms are carpeted and decorated in calming tones; one has a double bed and the other has twin zip-and-link beds (which can be made up as a super-king-size bed on request at time of booking). A family bathroom completes the convenience for all. Outside, a small courtyard at the rear of the property contrasts with the larger, lawned garden at the front which has mature planting and is enclosed with a post-and-rail fence. Sheltered from the road, it’s edged by a gated, gravelled driveway with space to park up to three cars.

Immerse yourself in village life or drive 4 miles to the elegant Georgian town of Holt for a fine choice of cafes, bistros, boutiques and galleries. Ride the North Norfolk Railway from here to the popular Victorian resort of Sheringham (10.5 miles) for some old-fashioned seaside fun. For a contrasting coastal experience, Blakeney’s atmospheric quay and tidal creek are 9 miles away – no visit would be complete without taking a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney Point.

A beautiful cosy cottage with comfortable beds and spacious rooms in an excellent location for touring the area. The enclosed garden and proximity to the village green was an added bonus for our dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice quiet location, great for walking the dog on village green, the Explorer bar which is 6 minutes walk does not do food, cottage well equipped with utensils and cutlery, the things that let it down is the comfort, sofas are so uncomfortable you sit in them and your knees are level with your chest, the double bed is so small feet stick through meRead moretal end, if you cough bounces bad like sleeping on a bouncy castle, hardly slept all week, I have had to go to chiropractor today to sort my back out you have to be quick having a shower as it goes cold fast, the cottage could do with a a vacume cleaner to use only a broom and dust pan and brush available, the rear courtyard could do with a good weeding! Due to all this would only give it 6 out of 10 Hide

Very well located cottage for visiting North Norfolk attractions with a nice properly enclosed garden for the dog and a large common opposite which the dog really enjoyed.

A charming cottage with 2 shops and a pub in the village. Spacious, comfortable bedrooms and cosy lounge and dining room. Small but well equipped kitchen, everything you need for a great stay. Fabulous dog friendly garden, safe and pretty with sunny bench. Lots to see and do in the area and overlooking a lovely village green.
