"The cottage was in a good location. Walking distance from Salhouse broad and a short drive to the sea and other places on the broads. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Would definitely stay there again" - Ian Boorman
Light, bright and full of character, this spacious cottage is perfectly suited to families looking to take a break on the Norfolk Broads. With a charming, neutral colour palette throughout, this cosy property ensures a place to relax and recuperate with your loved ones around you. Make the most of your time in the Broads by taking a boat trip from Wroxham (3 miles) to see the sights from the water, an experience which will be loved by those of all ages and also welcomes dogs aboard.
At the heart of the ground floor is the open-plan living room/diner with cool tones on the feature walls and comfortable seating for all in the form of two sofas and an armchair. Through the large archway, you’ll find the traditional dining room with seating for six to gather for mealtimes. When it’s time to fix up a feast, the kitchen has everything you’ll need with a skylight allowing natural light to fill the room. There is also a bathroom on the ground floor with a shower overhead. Upstairs is a beautiful family bedroom furnished with a double and a single bed beneath the vaulted ceiling and plenty of room for children to play. Finally, a double room completes the space with matching furniture and lovely decor.
The Broadland village of Salhouse is a charming village with opportunities to canoe, kayak and boat on the Broads, as well as an array of picturesque walking trails of varying difficulty. Children will be enchanted by the magic of BeWILDerwood (5 miles) with treehouse adventures, fun in the forest and plenty of opportunities to get active in the fairytale setting. For a day at the seaside, Sea Palling Beach is 14 miles away and great for families with its calm waters and miles of soft sand to enjoy come rain or shine.
