Steam in your very own wood-fired hot tub and go rowing on the lake when you escape to this enticing cottage in Oxburgh. Sleeping four adult guests, the two-bedroom holiday home, which has a wood burner and a private garden, nestles within an estate, with a shared lake and gym. Less than 1 mile from the National Trust’s magnificent Oxburgh Hall, it is also well positioned for visiting Sandringham.

Head inside to find single-storey accommodation offering you every comfort when you return from your trips out across Norfolk. Head into the lounge to light a roaring wood burner on chilly evenings and to find your favourite programme on the Smart TV. Settle back on the plush sofa with your holiday read and congregate in here to make plans for the following day. The contemporary kitchen features everything you will need to help you whip up homecooked feasts for your friends or family using the fresh, local ingredients you have sourced on your excursions. Pull stools up to the breakfast bar to sit down to your meals together. When eyelids begin to droop, lay your head on a plump pillow in one of the two lovely bedrooms here. There is a double bedroom and a king-size, with doors to the garden that can be opened during the warmer months. The cottage also has a family shower room, with a generous shower. Serve breakfast out in the garden on fine mornings. Have BBQs out here too and enjoy soaking in the hot tub. Wander the 18-acre estate at your leisure.

While away an afternoon on the Sandringham Estate, 22 miles away, where you can explore the house and stroll through the gardens and parkland. Thetford Forest begins about 7 miles away and is a great place for cycling and walking.
