Escape to this smart holiday home in the pretty coastal village of Blakeney to enjoy some quality time with your loved ones. Sleeping four people over two bedrooms, this stylish home is ideal for small families or groups of friends who want to discover the stunning Norfolk coast together. Spend happy days strolling along the harbour or wildlife-watching in the marshes; and in the evening come home to the cottage to enjoy an al fresco dinner in the large garden.

Step inside and you’ll find an entrance area with a cloakroom for storing all your outdoor gear. Make your way to the living room – a sophisticated space that’s bathed in a beautiful palette of soft greys – to slip onto the sofa by the electric fire. When it’s time to eat, head to the chic, open-plan kitchen to rustle up some dinner. Enjoy a sociable meal at the sleek breakfast bar, or head through the French doors in the living room to dine alfresco in the garden. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of wine and watch the stars come out, or head back to the living room to stretch out in front of your favourite TV show. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find two gorgeous bedrooms upstairs – a double and a twin. The twin can be made up as a double on request.

Less than a mile from this stylish cottage you can join the North Norfolk Coastal Path – so grab your hiking boots and trek the gorgeous 7.5-mile trail to the pretty port town of Wells-Next-the-Sea. The birdwatching in the marshes along the way is first rate, and during July and August the marshes are a beautiful sea of lavender. Alternatively, head to Blakeney Point (5.5 miles) to hop on a boat and sail out to see the local seals.

  • 2 bedrooms - 1 king-size, 1 twin with zip-and-link beds, can be made into a king-size on request

A well presnted modern house where we spent a very comfortable week. Its location is no problem as it is a ten minute walk to the local shop and another five minutes to the Kings ARms and quay. Off street parking is a big plus. Be aware when we stayed there was no hair dryer supplied and no washing machine.

We had a great week staying at the Glaven Retreat, it has a massive shower plus a decent bath, a very neat garden and the property itself is very modern and clean. Location wise its easy to walk down into the harbour ( 5 mins ) even with a pram and a toddler in tow. Well be back!

This is an excellent cottage for holidays. The beds are soooo comfortable I didn't want to get up in the mornings. For us this was just about the most perfect place we could ever find and so quiet with very little in the way of noise apart from birds. We will definitely be back.
