After dinner, pour yourself a glass of wine and watch the stars come out, or head back to the living room to stretch out in front of your favourite TV show. Less than a mile from this stylish cottage you can join the North Norfolk Coastal Path – so grab your hiking boots and trek the gorgeous 7.5-mile trail to the pretty port town of Wells-Next-the-Sea. The birdwatching in the marshes along the way is first rate, and during July and August the marshes are a beautiful sea of lavender. Alternatively, head to Blakeney Point (5.5 miles) to hop on a boat and sail out to see the local seals.
