Escape the hustle and bustle at this gorgeous, Grade II-listed cottage in the pretty town of Wells-next-the-Sea. Sleeping six people over three bedrooms, it’s the perfect accommodation option for families or groups of friends who want to enjoy all the pleasures of a traditional seaside break – but at a peaceful property that’s set back from the bustling quay and busy shopping streets. Spend happy days strolling along the beautiful beach with your loved ones and in the evening, come home to the cottage to enjoy an al fresco dinner on the pretty courtyard garden’s patio.

You can’t help but soak up some history in this sympathetically-restored Georgian-fronted cottage. Step inside and you’ll find a cosy lounge with a welcoming wood burner. The lounge leads through to the elegant kitchen/diner – the perfect place to get the whole gang together for sociable dinners. Alternatively, head out onto the courtyard garden’s patio and dine alfresco. After dinner, open a bottle of something cool and crisp and watch the stars come out, or head back to the lounge to warm your toes by the glowing wood burner. At the end of the day, you’ll find three beautifully-styled bedrooms waiting for you upstairs: one king-size, one double and 1 twin. In the morning, start your day with a freshly-brewed coffee in the courtyard garden.

Pack up a picnic and head off to enjoy the Wells’ fantastic beach (1.5 miles) for the day. Get some Insagrammable snaps by the colourful beach huts, take a stroll out to the bird sanctuary of Blakeney Point, or enjoy a lazy al fresco lunch. Alternatively, make a beeline for the Holkham Estate (3 miles), which is one of the country’s most recognisable Palladian country houses. There are 25,000 acres of historic parkland to explore and an adventure playground for the young ones.

The cottage is in an excellent location and has plenty of free parking adjacent. Its also in a quiet part of the town. All amenities (pubs, shops etc) are all very close. The cottage is extremely warm and the Kitchen equipment is plentiful. The outside garden is wonderful and gave plenty of (safe) room for our dog to roam. The outhouse with toiletRead more/washing machine/freezer is a really big plus. The bedrooms are all airy and warm. We were only a group of 4, so unsure how the cottage would 'cope' with a party of 6. But with 4 its really a wonderful place to stay Hide

Very nicely refurbished house, made into a lovely home. It's very well appointed and equipped. It's in a great location, very close to the historic centre of Wells-next-the-sea.
