This coastal retreat sits right in the heart of the charming town of Wells-next-the-Sea, just 100 metres from the vibrant quayside. You’ll be surrounded by a plethora of independent shops and eateries, and the town’s unspoilt, sandy beach is just 1 mile away. The property sleeps four guests, making it a perfect couples’ retreat or base for a small family, and has a sociable, open-plan layout.

Stairs lead to this bright and airy top-floor apartment, which is decorated in neutral tones and has elegant wooden furniture throughout. Enter into a spacious hallway, where you can store coats and boots, and through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Unwind here, cooking hearty meals in the kitchen area to share at the stylish dining table. After dinner, chill out in the comfortable lounge area and watch a film on the Smart TV. When day turns to night, retire to one of two beautiful bedrooms – choose from a king-size or a twin. A sleek family bathroom completes the accommodation. There is no outside space with the apartment, but with the Norfolk Coast Path passing through the town, and the beach just 1 mile away, you’ll have plenty of options when it comes to morning walks.

Wells-next-the-Sea is a picturesque coastal town. Enjoy a walk around the bustling quay, watching the fishing boats coming and going or joining the locals for a spot of crabbing from the harbour walls. The town has a great range of restaurants, many serving delicious local seafood, as well as cosy pubs and coffee shops. A 1-mile walk or ride on the beach bus, takes you to the town’s sandy beach. Here, you can hire a beach hut for the day, to get the full seaside experience, as well as enjoy shoreline walks to Holkham or strolls through the shady pinewoods.

Great location on the Main Street. Parking is a bonus. Property comfy and spacious if a little tired in a few places.

Very good apartment in convenient place for shops and harbour.It is on the second floor which for us was not a problem but would be if you struggled with stairs

Due difficulties with windows, shower head drooping, no information re recycling and very untidy parking, with ladders and building materials. I would not recommend staying.

Apartment is spacious and clean but a little tired. In a great location in the town centre close to lots of good bars and restaurants. Having a parking space is a real bonus except for for dozens of crows roosting every night in trees above the car park. Had to clean the car before we could use it every time we went out

Thankyou for a lovely stay at The Retreat, Staith St. Very comfortable, clean, quiet, ideal position and good parking. Perfectly located for the town, creak and good walks. Very good bus routes to get around. Would stay here again.

Property was in a great location and very quiet at night, despite it being central to all the amenities in Wells. Property was very well equipped. We stayed as a couple but obviously could accommodate a family or another person/couple. It was very spacious for two. The parking behind the property was a bonus. We could also have stored our cycles Read moreindoors, should we have opted to take them on holiday. Hide

The heating was so good as was the location for walking into Wells. Ideal for family with two children or one or two couples.

Location of this property is great with parking, so close to the shops and pier. Spacious accommodation, all you need for a great break away.
