We loved our stay at 2 Thurnside, it is a lovely cottage and a lovely little village. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, with plenty of equipment and crockery - I hate those cottages where you have to wash up after each cup of coffee because there is only one cup each! This cottage had plenty of everything, and was a pkeasure to usRead moree. One thing we really enjoyed was the location of the cottage - the air was filled with birdsong and there was a lovely walk beside the river Thurne from outside the door. The village is small and quiet, but the pub is friendly and serves good food - thank you for the 5% voucher. We also enjoyed visiting the Methodist chapel and looking round the beautiful parish church. The boats moored at the staithe bring life to the village and everyone we encountered was very friendly. 2 Thurnside was a fantastic holiday destination for me and my family, clean, warm and cosy for the easter week we spent there. With a great pub just 2 minutes away (I recommend the Farrier beer) and easily accessible walks along the riverside. You're right in the middle of it all and in such a peaceful setting, its amazing.

Lovely, comfortable and well equipped cottage! Beautiful rural location with gorgeous walks on the doorstep (which our dog loved), and the very secure, dog safe garden was a bonus. The proximity to beautiful beaches was a big plus and the local pub does lovely food. We had a wonderful, relaxed holiday here!
