This wonderful property, situated in the heart of the Norfolk countryside in the sleepy village of East Rudham, is the perfect escape for couples or small families. Sleeping four guests over two bright and airy bedrooms, this cottage is ideal for those that want to explore the superb coast and country that Norfolk has to offer. Go seal spotting at Blakeney Point (20 miles) or head off down a trail at Pensthorpe Natural Park (14 miles) before heading back to base to be welcomed by homely interiors and soft lighting.
The cottage, which has a delightful traditional Norfolk winder staircase, is cosy and inviting with an open-plan style. Beamed ceilings, comfortable furniture and neutral decor in the lounge beckon you to sink into the sofa in front of the wood burner, as you watch your favourite show on the smart TV or chat about your day. Cook a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day in the contemporary kitchen and eat at the breakfast bar before going off on an adventure. Both en-suite bedrooms have a stylish, country-cottage atmosphere; taller guests might prefer the first-floor bedroom with more headroom in both the bedroom and en-suite. Outside, the secluded garden is a wonderful spot to laze in the sun and listen to the wildlife.
There are plenty of things to do in the area to keep everyone busy; visit Sandringham Estate and its museum or Castle Acre Priory (both 11 miles) for a bit of history, or let the kids run riot at Holkham Hall (13 miles) where there is a fun outdoor play area. Wells-next-the-Sea Beach (15 miles) is perfect for building sandcastles, while Brancaster Beach (13 miles) features the fascinating half-buried wreck of the SS Vina. Take the children for a ride on the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway (10.5 miles) or on a historic sea tour aboard Dunkirk veteran Lucy Lavers with Curlew Coastal Charters (14.5 miles).
