A unique property, this magnificent 18th-century Grade I-listed building on the Holkham Estate in Norfolk is perfect for couples looking for a restful holiday. This property is one of two properties in the arch, and the arch presents a striking picture, as do the beautiful views surrounding it. The Holkham Estate is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and home to Holkham Hall, surrounded by over the 25,000-acres of historic parkland and woodland. The grounds are ideal for cycling and feature many themed walks and trails, and you can even take to the water on the lake during the warmer months of the year.

This cosy two-storey property is the perfect romantic bolthole and has a bright interior with whitewashed walls and bold colours in the decor and furnishings, creating a vibrant energy. On the ground floor is a smart living area with comfortable seating to snuggle up while you watch your favourite movies on the Smart TV. There is a small corner table to enjoy romantic meals prepared in the contemporary kitchen. Upstairs you’ll find an open-plan king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom that boasts a gorgeous roll-top bath. Head outside and take in the views in the lawned garden with a table and chairs, perfect for a morning brew or cool evening drink.

Holkham Beach, with its wide-sweeping sands bordered by pine woods and Wells-next-the-Sea, are less than ten miles away. Wells-next-the-Sea is a charming coastal town with iconic colourful beach huts and a picturesque harbour where you can buy or enjoy eating fresh shellfish or the catch of the day. Other delights nearby include Cley (15 miles), which is great for bird watchers and the Georgian market town of Holt (17 miles), home to the North Norfolk Railway.

Very cosy and full of character. Really "away from it all" - so nice to see the sky with no light pollution.

Small tiny living which has everything you could need in the most stunning location; everything on the doorstep. The free car parking pass was great and we enjoyed not only the welcome pack but 10% discount card. Not only would we recommend but wed love to return.

An amazing setting for a peaceful break. Wonderful, quirky cottage surrounded by fields inhabited by hares, sheep, pheasants and bats. Our 3rd visit, and we will certainly be booking again. Ideal location for exploring the North Norfolk Coast.

A small but very clean and comfortable cottage in a stunning building on the Holkum estate. We ate out, including breakfast so didnt really test the kitchen. Cottage has a large bath but no shower combined with the bedroom, with no separation. This was fine for us, but may be more of an issue for couples with mobility issues or who perhaps diRead morednt know each other quite so well. Hide

The property was very cosy/comfortable, but it was rather small. The welcome pack was much appreciated. That said it was ideally located and we were able to have our dog there. A light over the stairs would be useful at night, as the toilet is downstairs and some form of waterproof covering under the bath is needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very quirky location. It was a surprise long weekend away for my wife and the fun was her reaction to arrival at the Triumphal Arch.

The cottage was smaller than expected for the money. Some of the interior windows and the mirror above the bath had not been cleaned. The ice box in the fridge needed defrosting as the door would not shut properly. The hamper was lovely and the location was ideal.
