Plan a getaway to this lovely retreat, a combination of two brick and flint holiday cottages, perfect for a trip with an extended group of family or friends. They’re set 500 metres from the centre of the Holt, a Georgian market town in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The dog-friendly property features two open-plan lounge/kitchen/diners, en-suite bedrooms and a games room on one of two mezzanine levels. It is perfect for a large family or group of friends, within reach of attractions including Blakeney Point, Holkham Beach and Wells-next-the-Sea.
The two-storey property is thought to date back to the 19th century when it originally served as the meeting hall for The Society of Oddfellows. Both cottages have a fresh and modern feel, their airy rooms draped in stylish soft furnishings. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diners are on the first floor and have plenty of room for social gatherings throughout the day. The first cottage has two ground-floor en-suite super-king-size bedrooms and an en-suite twin bedroom on its mezzanine level. Cottage two offers an en-suite super-king-size bedroom, an en-suite double bedroom and a second double bedroom on its ground floor. The mezzanine level houses a games area. Many of the bedrooms within the property can be altered upon request. Each property has a family bathroom.
Holt’s historic town centre (500 metres) brims with Georgian architecture and is home to everything from art galleries to dog-friendly pubs. The 100 acres of woodland at Holt Country Park (1 mile) is ideal for walking the dogs, while Weybourne and Sheringham are just two stops on the town’s North Norfolk Steam Railway (0.5 miles). The Norfolk Coast AONB boasts miles of stunning beaches, with Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea (within 13 miles) amongst the most popular.
