  • Close to the beach and an ideal base for discovering North Norfolk

Property code: OC-2269

This idyllic brick and flint cottage is in the charming village of Weybourne, close to its shops and pub and just 1 mile from the beach. The cottage sleeps four guests and is perfect for both couples and small families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You''ll be perfectly placed for exploring Norfolk highlights such as Blakeney Point, Cromer, and Holt Country Park (all within 8 miles).

The traditional terraced cottage beautifully combines elegant, contemporary decor with stunning original features. The welcoming lounge is a gorgeous place to unwind in the evenings, with a Smart TV and comfortable seating set around a striking red brick fireplace housing a roaring wood burner. The spacious kitchen/diner has a tiled floor and a dining table set next to a second wood burner - a cosy spot for family mealtimes. Upstairs, you''ll find a tastefully decorated twin bedroom and an impressive bathroom with a roll-top bath. The remaining bedroom is on the second floor, set under the eaves (this room has restricted head height in some areas). Outside, there''s a small, enclosed courtyard with furniture and a Gas BBQ for al fresco dining. Steps lead from here, through to a ‘secret garden'' with a lawn - the ideal place for children and four-legged guests to burn off steam.

Weybourne is a pretty village with several local shops and a cosy pub. The North Norfolk Railway stops in the village, and you can hop on the steam train to visit the coastal resort of Sheringham or the Georgian market town of Holt. Also, just outside the village, is the fascinating Muckleburgh Collection of military vehicles. Weybourne has a quiet, shingle beach; the deep waters here make it popular with sea anglers. There are some stunning walks nearby, including the 3-mile clifftop path to Sheringham.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 twin, 1 king-size

Blissful stay at this beautiful cottage. Our sausage dog had lovely naps by the wood burner (as did we!) It was just what two stressed city dwellers needed. The Ship Inn was also a lovely place for an evening meal. Missing Norfolk already...

We found Sea stone cottage to be clean, very spacious and fairly well equipped. Parking was outside the front of the house and we didn't have any issues. A welcome pack would have been nice though. The garden is lovely and accessed a separate gate across a open ended court yard.

We had a lovely week at Seastone, we were 4 adults and found the cottage comfortable and well equipped. As mentioned in other reviews the stairs are quite steep and the top bedroom does get warm when it is warm. The village is lovely and we would recommend the local pub, the ship, for tasty meals. Seastone is a great base for exploring the north NoRead morerfolk coast and we wouldnt hesitate to book the cottage again if we return to the area. Hide

Excellent location and comfortable accommodation. There was everything we needed and the quality of towels, bedding and kitchen equipment etc was to a very good standard. The little garden is really pretty and safe for our dogs.

The cottage was lovely and clean and beautifully decorated throughout. It was very well stocked with all items that you could need for a stay. The master bedroom was large and comfortable with a very comfortable bed. The shower was next level comfortable and had a very powerful shower. There was nothing I could fault, the owners clearly lRead moreove their property and are very welcoming. The village of Weybourne was very peaceful with just the sound of the Norfolk train nearby. The walk to the beach was less than 10 minutes and provided spectacular views. The Ship Inn serves wholesome food from local produce and has an excellent selection of drinks. All the staff there are very welcoming. I would definitely return. Hide

Thanks for a lovely stay at Seastone. Couldnt have asked for more from the property. Very comfortable and beautifully furnished. We loved exploring the area, and it was great knowing we had such a nice base to return to each day. Breakfast in the sunny backyard was a daily treat. I hope we can come back again.

Lovely cottage, so comfortable and the garden was perfect! We really enjoyed the week and sad to leave. A few small observations: We could not use the master bedroom in the loft at all as it was far too hot up there. Luckily we were able to use the twin room instead but if we'd travelled with family, that would have been a real issue! There were veRead morery limited instructions for the cottage eg for keys. There was no 'welcome tray' at all, no bin bags, clean washing up sponges etc, no first aid kit and no visitors book (?) One of the single beds in the twin room needs tightening - very wobbly! Parking was okay but quite a challenge!! (that wouldn't put me off re-booking) Hide
