This stylish cottage, set over two floors within walking distance of Holt’s main high street foodie shops, antique galleries, and café culture, is ideal for couples, friends or families looking for a relaxing holiday. Holt, a Georgian market town, boasts a wonderful country park with over 100 acres of woodland to discover. Holt is also home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway, where you can pick up The Poppy Line and enjoy a train ride to Weybourne and Sheringham.

A lovely bright, welcoming property with a coastal theme and tones to help you relax from the moment you arrive. The ground floor has an inviting sitting room with plenty of comfortable seating, a Smart TV for movie nights and a flame-effect wood burner to keep things cosy in the cooler months. The conservatory/dining room offers an alternative socialising space with a sofa, dining table, chairs and French doors to the courtyard garden. The contemporary kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals with delicious local ingredients. Head upstairs, and you’ll find two bedrooms - one king-size with an en-suite shower room and a twin room with an en-suite bathroom. Step outside, and there is an enclosed courtyard garden with a patio area and garden furniture, perfect for a morning brew.

The stunning North Norfolk coast is just a short drive, where you can discover bird watching, nature reserves, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and vast sandy beaches. The coastal villages of Blakeney, for seal trips, and Cley, for bird watching, are just five miles away. A little further is Holkham Hall (15 miles), which hosts numerous events throughout the year. Colourful beach huts decorate the vast sands at Wells-next-the-Sea (13 miles), and this town is a perfect choice for a traditional day at the seaside, so bring your bucket and spades, water sports gear and a healthy appetite for fish and chips!

Stopped here for a week mid August. After looking through search we wanted somewhere with private parking which was close which was fine,as this is a narrow lane. Which was fine. Also wanted close to the town, again a 5 minute walk or less to shops, pubs and fish and chip shops. Holt fish bar the best. Enough room for 3 of us, nice and quiet if yoRead moreu want a lie in. Easy to drive to the main A148 road again to see the local sites. The rear patio area does catch the sun if just want to sit outside for a few hours also. Hide

Smaller than had considered but a pleasant homely place near to town with some nice touches of decoration. Enjoyed sitting in conservatory during evenings. Need to be careful with temperature control on front bathroom taps, can go hot and tap appears to need screwing back. Suggest extension leads in bedroom re wall sockets access limited as blockRead moreed by beds. Need to advise clients of house build opposite. Woken at 7.30am each morn by noise. Not good for a restful stay but beds were very comfortable! Would say a small car best for parking in front of garage to avoid overhang onto access area and with Builders daily parked aside the property. Hide

I have complained separately about the very poor level of cleanliness, particularly in the bathrooms. The furniture was generally shabby and mismatching and not what I expected for the price. One item from the welcome pack was out of date.

The cleanliness of the property left a lot to be desired .Pink bacteria and black mould were seen in the shower plus lots of fluff on the shower fan . Floor boards were noisy so all in all if you want to sell this property at such a high rating it needs a deep clean and then a high standard of maintenance. With a little bit of attention and refurbiRead moreshment this property could be a top rental . It is not in the interests of your company to have these reviews as it detracts from your business which is why I have marked you down on recommending Original Cottages to other potential customers. A nicely situated cottage in the centre of Holt which was comfortable and well equippped. The only thing I would say needs attention is the shower cubicle in the en-suite.

I liked the location very short walk to town centre, house being built opposite to the property so lots of builders vehicles. Cleanliness is generally very good but a few cobwebs and lots of dust under the sofas. I wouldn't have known that except an item was dropped and had to be retrieved. 2 bathrooms were ideal as there were 4 of us for part of tRead morehe week. Kitchen is well equipped. A small issue we had was very quickly resolved by Original Cottages . Hide

We loved the location of the cottage, quiet but so near town centre. We loved Holt too and would definitely return. One or two considerations, we couldnt get the shower room radiator to work and it would have been nice to have a bit of warmth in there. The cottage was clean except for the windows which were very smeary especially with the sun shinRead moreing. Previous tenants must have found it too as there were circles rubbed clean in places. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return one day. Hide

Superb cottage in lovely market town with all amenities. The local garage even fixed our car after a breakdown! Chose Holt because within 15-30 minutes we could have a different daytrip each day to explore this area fully. But in the evening we could come back to a lovely town and cottage with patio garden to rest and relax.
