A charming cottage in attractive grounds set 3.5 miles from Aylsham, one of the many market towns scattered across the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This charming, family-friendly property features an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, an enclosed garden and is within reach of Norwich and the Norfolk Coast AONB.

The two-storey cottage stands just off a quiet country lane that winds its way towards one of the main routes between Norwich and the coast. It is full of rustic charm and original character features, with its fresh and inviting rooms crisscrossed with wooden beams throughout. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is bright and airy and is a wonderful place to unwind throughout the day, especially during quality family time with good food and entertainment on the agenda. A shower room is a handy addition to the ground floor, perfect for quick recharges. There are two well-appointed bedrooms on the first floor – a double and a twin – both of which promise a restful night’s sleep. A family bathroom stands nearby. The attractive enclosed garden, split between a patio and lawn area, is the ideal setting for morning coffees, a BBQ at dusk or simply relaxing surrounded by loved ones.

Erpingham is a charming village with quiet country lanes that walkers and cyclists will love. Aylsham (3.5 miles) and Holt (10 miles) are typical of the beautiful market towns found across the county, with the latter right on the edge of the Norfolk Coast AONB. Other lovely places to visit include Sheringham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham Hall, all within 25 miles. The cathedral city of Norwich (19 miles) offers a host of cultural, historic and natural attractions.

Perfect base for a cycle touring holiday. Quiet, safe lanes in every direction. The cottage was a delight, in a pretty lane. Every thing one needed for self catering, dining and sitting in an open plan room. Spacious yet cosy! Comfortable and homely, we would definitely recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cart Lodge. A beautiful, rural setting yet close to local attractions. The owner made us feel very welcome. Would have happily stayed for more than one week and would love to return.

Cart Lodge is in a rural quiet location which was just right for our vacation. The property was very clean and good cooking equipment was provided for self catering. The property owner was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive, in other words, a good friendly character. There were not any disturbances from the neighbourhood.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location, yet convenient for the attractions of the North Norfolk coast. Cottage had everything we needed. We slept comfortably and generally had a nice relaxing holiday. Nice garden to read a book, or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Local pub was walkable and Aylsham was only 5 minutes away in the car. Being abRead morele to borrow bikes at the cottage was good. Would definitely stay there again. Hide
