This attractive, red brick bungalow is in the charming village of Dersingham, 5 miles from Norfolk''s west coast. The property sleeps four guests and makes a fabulous couples'' retreat or base for a small family. Nearby attractions include Sandringham Estate (2.5 miles) and Norfolk Lavender (6.5 miles), both of which make lovely days out. In the evenings, unwind in the large garden or snuggle up next to the wood burner.

The single-storey holiday retreat has a home-away-from-home style, with creature comforts and cute accessories. After a day of exploring, unwind in the spacious lounge/diner, stretched out on the plump sofa to watch the Smart TV or gathered around the dining table for a tasty supper. In winter, fire up the wood burner to warm your toes and create a cosy ambience. A separate kitchen has everything needed for a self-catering break. When day turns to night, choose from two inviting double bedrooms, both of which are decorated in calming, neutral tones. A family bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, soak up the sunshine in the large, enclosed garden. There''s a sunny patio with furniture for al fresco dining, as well as a lawn where children and dogs can play.

Take a stroll around the pretty village of Dersingham, popping into its cute local shops or grabbing a bite to eat in one of the friendly village pubs. Just outside the village is Dersingham Bog National Nature Reserve, which has a network of wildlife-watching trails, including a long, wooden boardwalk across the bog. Snettisham Beach (6 miles) is a remote, shingle beach. It''s the perfect place to escape the crowds and enjoy a peaceful picnic or spot of sea swimming. Alternatively, for a more traditional seaside vibe, head to Hunstanton (9 miles) with its sandy beach, gift shops, attractions, and eateries.

Skippers Retreat in Dersingham, Norfolk is a lovely, spacious and comfortable residence. Located in a peaceful and tranquil village. Nearby is the bustling town of King's Lynn and the coastal resort of Hunstanton. Poor June weather, aside, We enjoyed immensely our three nights at the property. The facilities were first rate, the beds were comfoRead morertable, the storage space was good. The long driveway was excellent for parking and for unloading our luggage from the car. The garden was well kept. We can recommend this bungalow if visiting this area of Norfolk. Hide

Reading the comments book in the bungalow other people have noted in 2022 that the garden is not secure for dogs but nothing has changed.

Lovely place to stay. Close to lots of lovely walls. Garden could be a bit more secure for dogs. Perhaps a gate at the rear to keep the dogs getting to the front as it is a low wall which they can jump and escape.

Pleasant enough bungalow for what we wanted. A nice quiet place. But the garden not secure and any dog would be able to get out.
