Known as the ‘gateway to the Broads’, Coltishall is at the northern end of the navigable waters of the River Bure. The staithe is just outside the village, and boasts some beautiful riverside pubs and picnic spots, as well as the opportunity to hire canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. The Bure Valley Railway has a station in the village, allowing you to explore the surrounding landscapes aboard one of the heritage steam trains. The bustling ‘capital’ of the Broads – Wroxham – is 3 miles away, with its boat hire companies, quaint shops, and excellent range of eateries.
