This sweet bungalow is right on the popular Norfolk Coastal Path, making it a wonderful getaway spot for a peaceful trip by the sea. It’s just 150 metres away from a glorious long beach, so you’ll be able to feel the sand between your toes in a matter of minutes. The cottage features an impressive outdoor space with a summerhouse where you can kick back in the shade on sunny days. It’s got space for up to four people over its two bedrooms, making it an excellent choice for a couple or a family trip.

Inside your coastal retreat, you’ll have a stylish dual-aspect lounge with comfy seating, a Smart TV and a Bluetooth speaker for your entertainment. You can beat the chill on cold evenings by firing up the cosy wood burner. This pleasant space is decorated with tasteful artwork so you feel right at home. In the galley-style kitchen, you’ll find everything you need for cooking up delicious meals that you can share in the conservatory as the light streams through the windows. There’s another TV in here plus a chaise longue for stretching out post-dinner. To access the lovely garden, open the French doors and head to the seating area featuring a firepit. Children can play on the grass while the adults sip hot or cold drinks while conjuring up a rough plan for tomorrow.

When it’s time to explore, you can take a 2.5-mile walk to the red-and-white-stripe lighthouse at Happisburgh, or head inland for cycle ride in Bacton Woods (4 miles). If you’re keen to explore the Norfolk Broads National Park, head to Wroxham (12 miles) where you can hire a day boat for a half or full day, to discover the pretty waterways in style. The seaside resort of Cromer (12 miles) is a great option for a day out, with its Victorian pier and vibrant atmosphere.

Lovely little cottage that we hope to return to in future. Excellent situation for the beach and well placed for Wroxham to explore the broads, BeWILDerwood and other local attractions. The conservatory could get very warm at times, as it has no blinds or sails at all, so we had to have the double doors open for much of our stay but after we hadRead more worked out a hoverfly eviction system for on the evening, this wasn't really a problem at all. A proper Weber kettle barbecue made outdoor cooking enjoyable though there was no starter chimney (not many people have these in the UK but I love mine) so a bit fiddly to get going. But that's nitpicking, so I'll stop. We loved the place and hope to return in future. Hide
