This cosy, Grade II-listed cottage in a prime position in the heart of Wells-next-the-Sea is perfect for families, couples and friends looking for a seaside holiday on the beautiful Norfolk coast. Wells-next-the-Sea is a popular town where you can enjoy a spot of crabbing by the picturesque harbour and eat the freshest shellfish available. Stroll to the beach (1.5 miles) along the harbour footpath or hop aboard the narrow-gauge steam railway and admire views of colourful beach huts decorating the vast sands elevated against a woodland backdrop.

A characterful two-storey cottage with beautiful original exposed wooden ceiling beams and stone walls in the living areas and the bedrooms. On the ground floor is an open-plan sitting/dining area with plush seating for relaxing together after a day at the beach. Spend the evenings watching your favourite movies on the Smart TV, and in the cooler months, pop a log in the wood burner to stay snug and warm. The contemporary kitchen has everything you need to rustle up some tasty treats. There are cottage-style stairs with a rope handrail to the upper floors. You’ll find a king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be converted into twin beds upon request) and shower room on the first floor. Head up to the second floor which has a king-size bedroom and shower room. Outside is a cute rear courtyard with a bistro table and chairs, perfect for a morning brew or a cool evening drink.

There are many wonderful places to visit nearby. The unspoilt coastal scenery surrounding Wells-next-the-Sea is a haven for walkers, cyclists, bird and wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, sailors and anglers. It is a short drive to Holkham Hall (3 miles), which hosts numerous events throughout the year. Walkers can take in the views along the shoreline from Wells-next-the-Sea to Holkham Beach (3.5 miles). Nature lovers will enjoy exploring Holt Country Park (12.5 miles), Pensthorpe Nature Reserve (12 miles) or Blakeney Point Nature Reserve (8 miles) which offers the chance to spot the seals.

A well appointed cottage, with everything you could possibly need and situated right in the heart of Wells. There is no off road parking, but the carpark opposite always had a space and you could pay for the week. I'd warn against the stairs if you have mobility issues.

Heerlijk comfortabel en sfeervol huisje op een prima locatie. Fijne bedden, heerlijk geslapen! Twee mooie badkamers. Kleine, maar prima keuken. Rustig binnenplaatsje in de ochtendzon met zitje. Houtkachel voor de winter. Prima WIFI ontvangst. Vriendelijke, behulpzame eigenaar!

We had a lovely weekend at this incredibly well-located little house. The place has been renovated to a really high standard and is simple but beautifully finished. Although we felt the place hadnt been cleaned as thoroughly as wed like when we arrived, the owner was very easy to reach, responded immediately, and sent the cleaning agency back ASAP Read more(and added an apology bottle of fizz!), which is everything you can ask for in my view. The location really is absolutely second-to-none and a big part of what you pay for. As others have mentioned, the stairs are VERY narrow and steep, so the house probably isnt appropriate for toddlers or anyone with mobility issues! Overall, would certainly stay again. Hide

Great location within short stroll to harbour and on Main Street with lots of bakeries and gift shops. Nice walks along the harbour and Beach Road to Wells Beach through to Holkham Beach. There were a lot of cobwebs and dust too (lounge floor and shelf above hangers in bedroom). The courtyard garden light didnt work. Lovely cottage in a central location very close to shops, restaurants, bars and the quayside. Stairs to the bedrooms, particularly the top floor are very steep but you get used to them! This is a beautiful cottage in an ideal situation. Parking is avalible in a small carpark opposit but the larger carpark is no more than 2 mins away. The cottage may not be ideal for people with mobility issues as the stairs are steep but my daughter loved being in the loft.

No. 72 Starboard is in a perfect location - right on bustling Staithe Street. It has everything you need for a relaxing break. In my opinion, its not really suitable for anyone with small children or for older people due to the very steep and narrow winding staircases.
