This impressive two-storey Grade II-listed house is one of five properties on-site and is perfect for families or friends looking for a relaxing holiday in a quiet and exclusive setting. Holt is a popular and charming Georgian town in north Norfolk and home to the North Norfolk Railway (0.5 miles), from where you can travel to the Victorian seaside town of Sheringham with its pebbly and sandy beach.

This gorgeous property has a soft palette of colours to make you feel at home and relaxed. The chic, modern interiors are thoughtfully designed, with great attention to detail, to ensure an enjoyable stay. Downstairs, the living room is the heart of the house and features wall-to-wall seating, the ideal space to lounge and make plans for the day. The compact, contemporary kitchen has all the necessary appliances to rustle up some tasty treats, while a double bedroom and shower room complete the ground floor. An elegant staircase takes you to the first floor, where you’ll find a family bathroom, a king-size four-poster bedroom with a Smart TV and a second bedroom with bunk beds. The unenclosed garden to the rear has a lawned area with a patio and garden furniture to make the most of lazy summer afternoons and evenings.

A wonderful local attraction is the 100-acre Holt Country Park (2.5 miles), with waymarked trails, a children’s play area, and a lovely picnic area. You are also only a few miles to the coast, where for nature lovers, Blakeney Point (7 miles) is a must-visit attraction. You can enjoy walking through the nature reserve and taking a boat trip to see the seal colonies. Salthouse Beach (4.5 miles) is great for walking, wildlife and fishing, and Cromer Beach is ideal for a traditional day out at the seaside with your buckets and spades and to enjoy some fish and chips and ice creams.

Overall we had a nice stay. Great location 20 mins walk into Holt, and close to many coastal towns and villages. Main bedroom upstairs presented well and a nice size, I would say that the downstairs double is incredibly tight with what seemed like a very small double bed - not hugely comfortable for 2 adults. The dining area is also very tight for Read morewhat could be 6 guests. We noticed some dust on the coffee table and some of the glass and tableware was not clean on arrival, appreciate this is due to previous guests but wasn't a great start. Not a fan of having to strip the beds when I'm on holiday but appreciate its to speed up the changeover of guests. If I'm honest I wouldn't return but its a nice enough cottage for families wanting to spend more time out and about than in the accommodation. Hide
